Finally someone that sees the main problem in Naruto Shippuden. This is what fights should have been, like it was in the beginning of the series. Power scale just messed up so much towards the end of the series. I didn't like the final arc because of this fact.
@@boltz1138 yeah but now they create the giant ball shuriken created by lava from a giant lava monkey who lives inside the boy and can destroy a 50 meters thick wood...
Realistically the fight was bad. Plot wise the fight was fine. Obito would never lose to Kakashi in a 1 v 1 realistically. Let’s see how many Kakashi tards like ⬇️comment.
@@mark45635 realistically, it's possible. Kakashi has always been praised as a great fighter, even Pain acknowledged him and didn't dare get near him after pinning him down.
@@Nite-Mite Nah it really isn’t, sure getting praised by pain is alright but still he died 1 vs 3 against pain. Also pain is nothing like obito🤦🏾♂️ Trained by both Madara and Minato. As well as possessing Hasharima cells on the right side of his body increasing his physical strength, healing speed, lifespan, Bigger stamina pool, More stamina in general and literally giving him wood style.Let alone he had the rinnegan. 😂 Realistically Kakashi would’ve gotten 💩 on but for the sake of plot🤦🏾♂️
@@Nite-Mite Yea he right Plot made Obito lose. Like just 3,4 months ago Kakashi was having trouble fighting kakazu with taijutsu but was still good. But Obito should have won with his experience and passive abilities alone. So yes this was lazy writing. Obito lost to Kakashi do to plot and the thought went on why is he fighting all these shinobi if he can’t even beat Kakashi in a 1 v 1 so they had to give him the ten tails jinchuriki so he could still have some relevance as a villain but in reality he should’ve put Kakashi on a tee shirt😂
Perhaps its specialist animator who handle scene like this.. if you saw Kakashi vs Hidan, Kakuzu vs Team 10, or episode where Team 10 Dilema after losses their mentor.. you would see similiar style animation
I like naruto vs sasuke more as it held more weight over the story and the entire series leads up to it, it’s he pinnacle of the series and has equal to if now better taijustu Than this fight, and it’s ending is more satisfying than this one, seemingly ending the series and sasuke’s shippuden arc.
I love the choice of setting for this fight, makes the scene even more impactful. They are both fighting in the Kamui dimension, a world they both share. An empty void which reflects their loneliness.
Kakashi's voice actor "Kazuhiko Inoue" is a person who is also called a genius in Japan Therefore, it is clear that emotions can be transmitted even if Kakashi's face cannot be seen
This was better than naruto vs sasuke for me. The two of them had the ability to use op jutsu or whatever but they fought like actual ninjas. Easily the best fight of the war because of how simple yet beautiful it was
The whole arc is a powercreep. But I do think the first few minutes (the moments before Naruto went six path mode) and the second half of Naruto and Sasuke's fight were much more like ninja and not demigods. A bit throwback to the original Naruto, and the choreography is also sometimes comparable to this fight, just with more screaming since they're technically still children.
You kinda forgot Naruto vs Sasuke p2 This fight is so underrated cuz people had already labeled shippudden as garbage when it came but n v s p2 was great too
@@SumitPatel-xy3ww " WITHOUT PAUSING THE FIGHT " I don't know what fight between Sasuke and Naruto you are talking about but this fight between Obito and Kakashi is freaking unique

Same, I havent caught up yet but ive seen the fight of Naruto and sasuke vs Momoshiki and the traijutsu animation for that fight is just downright amazing
Mark Stein your pulling this out of your ass mate the price for the animated scenes never took millions In fact taijutsu scenes cost the same amount or similar to ninjitsu fights
@@everythingisfine8635 I don't know the real prices, so I can't say anything about millions, but they do cost more. Sure they have the same number of frames, but in ninjutsu and genjutsu stuff, each frame is fairly similar to the last as there isn't as much movement, vs taijutsu each frame is vastly different from the last. This means the artists can't just reuse previous frames as much and have to draw each one more often causing it to take longer and cost more. Even then, I'm sure the more detailed fights have more frames as well
that’s because naruto is the main character, no one gets any real time to shine except naruto and sasuke (with exceptions such as this fight) and naruto gets a powerup at every turn. The series turned against everything it stood for in this arc, working hard.
I love the slightly crazed look in Obito's eyes as he realizes, he has the upper hand, Kakashi is on the defensive, he's fighting his rival and the only person capable of fighting him on a level playing field (except maybe Minato or Hashirama), and he's *winning.* This is a man who's waited years for this moment and now that it's here, he can scarcely contain his enjoyment of it.
I don't think it's a crazy look, depsite his smile, i think he is more happy than crazy, to go toe to toe with his eternal rival. Proving that he becam strong enough to challenge Kakashi with a real chance of winning. His smile and look reminds me of Aomine's expression of joy in KnB durin Too match
@@kitsuchimashiteru8360 Like I said it's only slightly crazed. I don't mean fully insane, just unhinged to a certain level. Look at his eyes at 6:24 when he makes the Rinnegan rods, or at 6:50 when he looks at Kakashi. It's a look of excitement, deranged joy at the fact that he's *beating Kakashi's ass.*
He's not crazed, what do you mean? He's very aware of what he's doing. He actually before this smiled because he wanted Kakashi to be happy in a dreamscape. Obviously Kakashi disagrees. Also, he doesn't seem to enjoy fighting his old friend, he's doing it out of old times sake. He's forsaken the world and thought of the people in it as imposters who don't deserve to live.
@@royshavrick I don't mean crazed as in actually clinically insane, I mean it in the deranged, unhinged attitude that leads him to attack Kakashi somewhat recklessly. He definitely enjoys this. Look at his face - he has a cruel grin most of the time. He obviously wants his revenge on Kakashi for letting Rin die - obviously, as he himself states, it's not his entire rationale, and he mostly brought it up as a "fuck-you" to mess with Kakashi. Obito has a sense of humor and a dark one at that. He plays the character of Tobi for, I don't know, several months at least? He cracks some dark jokes and laughs at crucially dark moments. I don't think he's bloodlusted trying to kill Kakashi, but he's definitely playing mind games with him. And yes I know what you're talking about, that Obito wants everyone to be happy in the Infinite Tsukuyomi, but that's a different smile, and his expression overall is different. Look at the times I pointed out in the previous comment, look at Obito's eyes and expression, and tell me that's not the look of a maniac who is enjoying his fight with the sick pleasure of mentally scarring his former friend.
@@noahgassler746 I don't know. When I saw him smiling while talking to Kakashi about creating a perfect world, I think he was genuine there. Since he believed that this Kakashi was some kind of imposter (and that the world was doomed) he relished in attacking and manipulating him. But we see his contradictions many times. When he says "how I couldn't make it in time" or when he realizes that Kakashi used his own words against him. That is the genius of this type of writing and villain. We can see his contradictions presented on screen. Anyways that's just how I interpreted it
7:36 for real that scene says more than words possibly could...and this whole fight overall is one of the best and most emotional in the series (at least in my opinion)

Obito and Kakashi's hand to hand combat remains the most unrivaled to me in this war arc-the settings, the movements, the feelings, the reason behind it... this was what I signed up for in Naruto, "ninja warriors" "skilled, cold-blooded" fight but still ordinary human beings with pent up feelings & memories bottled up inside them. (minus the power of sharingan/kamui usage and all) and most of all is the feels of this as a long-awaited battle. when it was shown that Obito indeed survived & fell into the curse of hatred, I already look forward that one day his & Kakashi's paths will cross again for a fated battle to settle things once & for all coz it has been a long time coming, and here they are, face-to-face once again. the intense, mixed emotions I felt during this fight was so overwhelming especially knowing that these two men fighting with each other deeply cared for one another in reality. it may look that they fight with the intent to kill but audience who know the back story of the reason of this fight will appreciate why this isn't just aesthetically pleasing but also fulfilling in terms of knowing how far both of them have come from the one being an underdog to now that they are almost equal. the overshadowing of their fight as young boys to adult men just painted a whole lot of deep meaning into it. it is not a battle for the sake of battle, but a showdown to introduce again the men that they have become without actually knowing that they deeply influenced in the change of each other. the fight of Sasuke & Naruto is lit & amazing, but this one is deeply moving.

This is easily one of the greatest fights in anime history. The fighting choreography, soundtracks, voice acting, use of flashbacks and the context... it’s simply brilliant. This 7:36 moment alone deserves an award.
Really is. The depth between their relationship gives the fight all the weight to knock you the fuck out with some heavy reality. The choreography is masterful with the score. So many emotions
@アレンAnshuman I prefer sub, because the original intention is captured. Japanese voice actors are highly immersed and expressive, which I guess can be too much for some. Dub is accessibility for english speakers, so if it’s easier to follow a series that way by all means; however, I feel the emotional depth and delivery of certain western voices are lacking or restrained. Translation is sometimes off too. I always thought Dragon Ball had entertaining dubs though, because the energy is present. An anime like Gintama, which has strong Japanese humor and cultural references, should probably be viewed in Japanese. All in all I believe sub is the way to go. You can comprehend the story by reading, as well as pick up a little Japanese along the way.
@@eanotsport I guess I could understand that, but I find too much emotion can cause exaggeration. Humans are emotional but sometimes the Japanese voice actors get a little to hype for me. Plus there's more emotion for me when I can understand the words and they're in my native language. Often I feel like people will say they like Sub just because it's what every weeb says is the true way to watch.
Actually obito let Kakashi destroy the cursed Seal from Madara, it is later revealed when Madara wants to force him to do the Bring Back to Life jutsu, and obito instead absorbs the ten tailed beast
Nothing could top this fight. The music, the emotions, the choreography, the lack of over-the top movements are insane. The kunai clashes in the past being yellow to represent friendship and blue in the present to represent their loss. The flashbacks lining up with the moves in the present. The lack of talking. It’s gorgeous. This is the best fight in anime history. Other animes should take notes.
Does anyone else ever feel like Naruto’s story is mainly about Kakashi’s journey from being in a deep darkness to finding teammates that he loves again. When team 7 manage to seal Kaguya he says “that is a good picture” he was thinking back to the first picture they took after they passed the bell test, the picture where Sasuke is looking away Naruto is looking angrily at Sasuke and Sakura just smiles. They really take you on a journey through Kakashi’s emotions when he says “i really love you guys” the moment the final enemy is defeated is also the moment when Kakashi is again able to trust his teammates and say that he has people he love.

wrong, obito only engaged kakashi to assist him in removing the seal on his chest so he'd become the Juubi jinchuriki himself either willing had Kakashi bought what Obito was selling or unwittingly in the battle they had. Obito reveals this fact to Madara when he explained how he destroyed the seal on his chest in order to gain the power himself.
I believe after Mads took Kakashi's eye and travelled to Obito's demension. I can't remember which one. He asks Obito how he was able to remove the seal that would have prevented him from becoming the jin. Obito then told him so. Obito fooled Madara by playing possum after his seal was destroyed and Kakashi to well destroy it as he couldn't himself. The irony was that Rin years prior did the same thing to kill herself to destroy her own seal against Kakashi. Yes Obito could have squashed Kakashi with a variety of abilities like woodstyle and genjutsu but he wanted that seal gone.
There are alot of fights, everyone is different also minato and obito was one of the fught that change the series. Obito is the best character in the entire series period 😎
Good joke but now I am going to ruin it a bit. Kamui dimension is about the same size as the world itself and Obito can't actually teleport with it. When he appears to teleport with Kamui, he actually goes into Kamui dimension, walks the same distance he would have to move in the real world and then returns to the real world. As such, the chances of stumbling upon the things Kakashi has put there are pretty low.
The song, the dialogue, the flash baccs, the fact that Obito knew & understood why Kakashi ended up killing Rin. The fact that Kakashi was tryna talk him out of if before gettin serious. Bruh, this is rivalry done right. Regardless of what y’all think, Obito had the upper hand, look at the stats, look who trained him. Yet bro humanity still shone thru, he never wanted to kill Kakashi, he wanted to use him & using ppl ain’t a good thing either. But the fact that he was more upset at Kakashi cause he couldn’t keep his promise, was the real reason we saw someone with the potential to be a great hero become a great villain. This fight will forever remain as a classic. We don’t choose our friends or our family, but it is our duty to smacc som sense in em, once they stray from the righteous path. The hard part is, knowin who is the hero & who is the villain. I apologize for the essay. Namaste 🙏🏾
Why would Obito be upset at Kakashi for breaking a promise while Obito couldn’t kept his promise? Obito made it clear Kakashi it not fault, Kakashi is a victim.

animation has the elements of movement, art, shading, perspective/ camera or angles and choreography. this fight had shitty shading that looks like an unrendered game with no shadows or details.
@@marshalsoult3860fucking dumbass. You chose one aspect and decided to cry over it. Shading doesn’t matter when everything else is literally perfect The choreography is perfect, the movements feel in character and natural. Obito is very aggressive whereas it’s clear that Kakashi is on the defensive and is more mentally affected throughout the fight, paired with the flawless transitions of the flashback that truly tell how failed their relationship has become, especially where obito pushes back his older self to stab him in the end. No words are used. Pure unfiltered visual storytelling was used to convey the feelings and emotions of the fight, and THATS why it’s such a good fight, not because it looks “pretty” like tengen vs gyutaro or because it’s “hype” like your 12 year old mindset seems to need. It’s just storytelling it’s finest, and they achieved that through removing shading which was an ABSOLUTE win, whether you like it or not
You must've been living under a rock if you haven't heard of the new and aspiring beauty guru called, Itachi Uchiha! His beauty tutorials are simply out of this world! The thing that ruined Obito for me was when he said "You let Rin die" it completely shits on what he originally started the war for, his actual motivations, he didn't do it because he didn't get to bang his crush, it was because he saw how messed up the world was, and because of his caring and compassionate heart when he was a kid, he didn't want others to feel the same pain he did, keep in mind that Obito had no family or friends, and his clan rejected him due to lacking natural talent, Rin was the only one that cared about him, so when she died Obito lost his light, making him turn.
