@@Nguyen2-t9p SF6 parry in general is very easy to do, but perfect parry is difficult in comparison. It has a small timeframe of activation so it requires very precise timing.
@@Nguyen2-t9p perfect parry is hard for sure. 2 frames window only, SF3rd normal parry is 10 frames window, while red parry is 2-3 frame too like SF6 perfect parry. But the one u often see ppl using in sf3rd is normal parry, which is 10 frame, it gives punish in sf3rd. Normal parry in sf6 is easy af just need hold a button, but it doesnt give u any punish, unless u parry very unsafe moves u can punish anyway by blocking. Ppl use it mostly for fireballs and such.
@@Nguyen2-t9p in someways it is, most it's mostly because of the amount of risk inherent in 3S parry input. You have to hit forward with a small input window. For Sf6, you can just hold back and press MP/MK together when you need to.
Remember when people used to say Perfect Parry nerfs the damage too much? Yeah, that was a simpler time. These sets show a lot more of a balance for the game's mechanics than ever before. The only thing we didn't see a lot of was Driver Reversal.
Kakeru somehow figured out every Departure combo in two months, he's leading the JP army. Very well deserved super major win for Kakeru, beating Daigo, Vxbao, MenaRD, Punk, and AngryBird twice. He clutched game five last round vs Mena, climbed back to reverse 3-0 punk and made big adjustments to 6-1 AngryBird in grands.
The perfect parries being on point was huge. Kakeru also played better footsies, was almost always ready to tech throws, was better about checking Ken's drive rushes, and had the reads on when to OD Amnesia@@mouad19
who's to say Kakeru wasn't deliberately saving his strats for a tourney with bigger payout? xD I mean, there's EVO with 20K, and there's Gamers8 with 400K xD that's 20 times more than what he'd have made if he'd won EVO 2023.
Kakeru played really well. You could see it in his face before the match started. The man was in the zone! For Kakeru, victory was achieved in his mind-- his body just needed to catch up.
Great match. Thank you Gamers8. One suggestion: the match rules should be made explicit by the graphics or the announcers. I wasn't sure if it was BO5 or if the finals had different rules.
@@kayamazule8075It's the player not the characters. You can make a worthless tier list all u want but once a player knows when and how to react your tier list is just trash where it belongs.
@@kayamazule8075 oh the tier list that only the hardcore 1% cares about? Mostly a popularity contest in the competitive scene. Majority of the regular players don't care much about it until the devs decide to nerf or buff characters. During the match Kakeru has outplayed AB since with so many Ken users displayed their tendencies and combos all that's left is to apply the right reactions and anticipation with their most played card. Given time if AB was brought to the losers bracket he would be able to make a different approach since he's thinking on how to react the nxt time they meet.
Punk messed up 1 cannon spike when Kakeru had 10% health with a 0-2 deficit then came back to win it all with the best JP and claim the 400k. Absolutely amazing... WOW
*What an amazing victory! Kakeru has the best JP PERIOD man put his heart and soul into that performance.* *What an immaculate feat, certainly one of, if not THE GOAT of SF6!* *WELL DONE KAKERU!*
Insane perfect parries from kakeru. It supposed to be hard with only 2 frame windows, way harder than non red parry of sf3rd strike. But dude pulled it off like almost every game vs angry bird. Read those drsgonlashes like a book.
Imo this wasn’t about Ken, JP, or Angry Bird, but rather Kakeru and is insane fundamentals and game plan. AB was burned out soooo many times against his will. He got Perfect Parried a disgusting amount of times. After the first game he got anti-aired to oblivion. To me those all seem like a combination of pristine fundamentals, matchup knowledge, and overall awareness and mechanical skill. And that imo speaks to Kakeru as a player far more than any given character. Cause we all know AB is disgusting with Ken, but when you’ve built up all that Kakeru has, only then can you make it look as easy as walking your dog🤯
When someone asked who would win during winner side Angry bird vs Kakeru on chat, I absolutely can't guess who would win due both are them are very adapted player. Even when one of them go down to loser, they can crawl their way out to grand final while learning from previous match. Kakeru obviously change his strategy to adapt how he fight angry bird. I bet if Angry Bird the one who send to loser, he will have time to change his strategy too to adapt as well from previous match he lose. Both of them are really godlike player
Kakeru did one toward the end (DI) but maybe because the startup frames are too much for a DI and that kakeru is more used to parrries (maybe 3rd strike experience)
Can someone explain why they're doing the bracket reset? One guy already won a clean BO5 3-1, give him the trophy... I could understand if they went 2-2, you could argue it's really close, so you need at least 2 more games in case they tie again. And what would've happened if Angry Bird won the second Bo5? They just arbitrarily give him the trophy this time...
Tournament rules: -Aplayer from upper bracket can only be eliminated if she/he sent to the lower bracket. -A player needs to lose twice, upper to lower. - A Upper player needs to beat a lower player in 1set to win the tournament. -A lower player has to reset the bracket by defeating the upper player 2x in order to win the tournament.
@@larryfocusSFL Japan players is hand picked by the team sponsored or team leader of the player squad. In this case, Kakeru was left out cause he didn't qualified for the SFL by not meeting the requirements of winning the group participation. Meaning Draft SF6 tournament winners are chosen to play in SFL invite only.
I thnk this is the end of angry bird i dont see him win anything anymore. He was given 10 months to prepare with ken on the cracked version. Now people saw how ken works and gain expierience and he is done.
that's what i've been saying, the birds have definitely been playing the crack version when capcom says not to, that's the only logic how the birds advanced so far ahead in the game compared to the rest. but now kakeru has catch up
@@jesuschrist1501 yep they are done. Not only kakeru Angry Bird was lucky this time around too to see the final. My prediction is in 6 months birds will not be even top 8 in any tournament.
