It is insane that no one gives credit to Kajiura Yuki, who single-handedly compose all the ost for fate zero as well as compose AND write the lyrics for this Godly song. Honestly, I think the singers are great, but to write and compose a song with such amazing colors, theme, and style changing, as well as composing for three singers requires nothing less than a genius. The mix of classical instruments, vocal as well as modern synthesis but still was able to provide a consistent and exciting song is so mindblowing. Kajiura Yuki is my no. 1 composer in Japan period.
Most people in the comment section are here because of F/Z, which is sad because they probably don't even know that Kajiura was the composer of Kalafina.
@@k31tw1nd4v I found her through her works in Noir, followed by Madlax and El Cazador. She also did .hack//Sign, Pandora Hearts, and Madoka Magica (which Kalafina also did an ED for).
Leading up to that part, the melody & bass is along the lines of a a a c d d d g g g b c c c ... d g c f ... and once it transitions a a a g# a f# g# a c# c# d ... f# d b e ... that looks like A minor to A major to me. What reassures me is improvising the bassline with her. Prior to the transition, anything outside of A minor sounds off. Afterwards, anything outside of A major sounds off. Albeit, I can't hear the chords in this song for the life of me. Your chord progression perspective goes right over my head.
The girl with the low voice is superb. Not only her voice is beautiful and flawless but... do you know how f*****g hard it is for a singer to maintain the tone (and change it accordingly) while you hear such high voices and you're alone!? Words can't describe the difficulty... an excellent example of hard work.
Yeah I know how it is, well kind of, and her name is Kubota Keiko, she has an amazing voice. Listen to her versions of Synchronicity and Houseki, they're amazing. And yes I know how hard it is, because when I sing with my sister, I usually have a higher voice and my sister had a deeper voice (kind of similar to Keiko...) and when we sing together she tries to mantain her tone, and if she can't she forces her voice to sound higher :/ what a great sister I have ^_^
+drazapatos what I always did in choir was memorize words that I pronounce in that pitch, and before singing I repeat it a few times to find the right pitch for the song (sometimes even recalling it during the song), its a great technique
Hey, I hope you are doing good, I don’t know you but I wanted to let you know that God loves you a lot and despite everything that’s going on he has a beautiful plan for your life, please look for him and follow the guidance of the Bible so you can be saved while there’s still time. God wants to save you so please don’t hesitate to trust him, if you do he will fight all of your battles with you and he will walk with by your side all the days of your life❤️ If possible please share with your family, friends, loved ones and others including the people on this video, it might not seem like it but some people feel alone and hopeless, God has a hope and a purpose for everyone, and he can save someone by you just sharing this with them, so please do me and that person a favor and share this with them. Thank you for reading and take care, God bless you and your loved ones always.
They won't be disbanding, Keiko is leaving along with Kajiura, leaving Kalafina to continue as a duo. Based on my decade plus experience in music, I can confirm this isn't going to work and they will be forced to either disband shortly into the duo run or find a near exact match to Keiko's voice, which is easier said than done with her vocal type being as rare in females as it is.
This is such a legendary song . The fact the one girl can lower her voice so much and then raise it to blend with the other 2 girls is just so epic ! This music is so much better than the crap America comes out with imo.
Omg ikr I think she's great! And I live in America and I hate the music its all about sex or dating or cheating but this, this is deeper and has more meaning.
***** hahaha at least I'm not some life less troll like you. My family loves me and is completely aware that I listen to J-music and they don't care. They are really proud of and I'm happy they are my family. And with "Jpoppers' house" I mean you are in the Jpop area of RU-vid. Enter at your own risk. And I'm smarter than you because: 1- My spelling is way better than yours (and I'm not even american, LOL) 2- You can't tell a boy from a girl apart 3- You use insults because you have nothing else on your empty mind. I feel pity.
Please define to me a Greek tragedy. I am Greek and have studied some in school, but have a hard time getting what you mean. What is a classic Greek tragedy?
@@MyETProductions To summarize, a "[Greek] Tragedy is a form of drama based on human suffering and, mainly, the terrible or sorrowful events that befall a main character."
Yuki Kijiura is so unexplainably talented. This piece has such unique arrangements and omg i fell in love with it when i first heard it years ago and it still sticks with me to this day. A masterpiece
+Kevin Lu Well, I heard Wakana was sick during the live show, so her voices was not as good as in this MV. However, it was still great considering her illness.
Fate/Zero was only 13 years old (it first aired in Japan during 2011) but it's already a modern masterpiece. I don't know how to describe it but it's definitely one of the best Fate series in general.
This song is so moving. I don't know what they are saying but the emotions in the song seem to reach to my heart.😫😭 It is truly a wonderful song. I love it😆
Kalafina is the only Japanese singing team that I appreciated because of their excellent singing skills and their enriching emotions within the songs. It required lots of hard work and I can hear it as an audience. Keep it on Kalafina!!!!!
Then you probably will love Fiction Junction (Kalafina's former group, also created by Yuki Kajiura and singing for Tsubasa Chronicle anime, the members are the same, only 1 is different).
I wanna marry an autonomous construction and have a kid with it, and then I'll summon a gender-bended King Arthur and try to win a tournament for a magical artifact, but will ultimately realize that killing off the rest of the competition wasn't worth the disappointment and horror of learning the artifact's true purpose, leading me to destroy it which causes thousands of innocent people to die and my servant to be sent back to her personal Hell, prompting me to adopt a whiny ginger who grows up to star in a really subpar anime.
"I shall grieve, and I shall weep. But I shall never regret." "A king must live a grander life than any other’s, and stoke his people’s feelings of admiration! He who is worthy of all heroes’ envy, and he who leads their way, is king! Therefore, the king is not alone. For his will equals that of all his followers together!" Rider was my favourite servant in f/z :c
Oooh, the kids turned into the sea monster?? I thought Caster and his master just randomly killed kids and the monster was just a thing out of the book Caster used :')
Nah i loved the anime. For me though it had no real conclusion. Yeah the war ended and he wasn't the hero he wanted to be, but in a way he was. Then there's the fact that kiritsugu can't go see iliasviel... And saber goes back to her dieing moment which makes NO sense seeing as Excalibur seriously destroyed the grail and Gilgamesh but SOMEHOW she dies which im sorry but no. If your gonna drag out a series to be two seasons long, then right before the finale explain how saving the world without a greater sacrifice is impossible just so they have her destroy the grail, that pisses me off, like they could have just ended it with her destroying Gilgamesh and the grail and done all the epilogue but they didn't they had to drag it out. And left Gilgamesh to his own devices, which he can still open the gates of Babylon. So.. He's practically a god. So no. Just no.
My love for Kalafina started after watching Black Butler. Getting stronger after watching Fate/Zero. Ended up researching for more anime where they sang the opening or ending
Ericka Hampton You were put through school for a reason. You're also making the rest of us Americans look bad. In case you haven't noticed, we're the entire world's internet joke for being fat and stupid, and your comment isn't helping.
It's now 2022...and this song...is still powerful and never fails to send chills down to my spine. I dunno why...but this song...it would be good as Invincible cartoon tv show's opening theme song...if they ever allow it. I bet it would sound epic.
I literally just finished fate zero and now I'm curled up in a ball crying because dammit that was a good anime! I want to be a hero when I grow up too T.T
Houssem Neffati hero? haha , you die for people ? i dont think that world have many good people. you still want to be hero ? make sure you help the right people.
"Some people say the world is a beautiful place worth protecting. I agree with the second half of that statement." There are plenty of people in this world that do awful things, but their is inherent good in everyone. I would be a hero in a heartbeat, regardless of the pain it brings upon me.
Their voices are incredible on their own, but they were absolutely born to be a trio. The melodic perfection that comes from their union is unmatched in any other vocalist group world over.
Reasons why I love Japanese music and why it is better than current mainstream ones: 1. Poetic. I love poems. 2. Lyrics have beautiful hidden meanings. 3. Harmony of the sounds. 4. Songs these days are all about money, drugs, sex, violence and partying and girls. 5. Makes us love our favorite anime series much more because of symbolic interpretations.
Everything good has its end, maybe that’s even better that it happened though, at least they’re not exhausted and bored of the band career, and we have a lot of great songs and amazing concerts:)

Just came back home from the theaters. Watched the last Heavens Feel movie. I COULD SWEAR they played an instrumental part of this song during a scene. I felt like Kajiura wanted to honor Kalafina! 😍😍😭😭😭
Kalafina is my favorite j-pop group, mainly because they always create not only gorgeous music videos, but they also have such amazing singing voices, gorgeous costumes and they are gorgeous themselves, and I just love how it all loops together so well.
Well... let's just say Kalafina will never be the same anymore, without Kajiura Yuki & Keiko Kubota... Don't say it like they are already gone forever...
Shirou Emiya - "Since you can't be one, I'll be a hero instead. You're an adult now, so you missed your chance. But I can do it! Leave it to me...your dream." On a hill by Camlann, surrounded by her fallen soldiers and her dead son, the martyred King of Knights looks up to the shining light of the Holy Grail, giving her one more chance to absolve her lifelong regrets.
@@frederickgrandison3609 It's always weird getting replies to comments that are so old, but it's also fun to see what my past self said lol. I've seen anime, and I had then too. I still don't really care for it. There are a few exceptions. I love Studio Ghibli (but who doesn't?), I did like Neon Genesis Evangelion, and because I'm a furfag, I do watch Beastars. Also Hetalia, despite its tendency to attract weird fangirls, is legitimately hilarious
Even though they disbanded, you can still follow and support the original artists of the band. It might not be the same but hey loyal fans can still stay loyal.
The designers of the clothing and accessories must be constantly on their toes because they never disappoint. The cray cray is real with japanese artists.
