Still the most beautiful lake anywhere. My last visit was in about 1964. Where's the diving boards at Kal beach? Where's the concession stand? The place looks deserted to what it was in the 50's and 60's. :-( You see, I was raised in Vernon and graduated in '61. In the summer, I would ride my bike every day about 5 miles. Would loved to have seen a little higher altitude for perspective of where some of your shots are from. I'm not sure the lake looks quite as clear as it did back then. We could water ski for ever and see totally clearly to the bottom to great depths. Many memories.
@Blood for Dracula I looked real hard at the video, but was unable to see anything big enough to look like a concession stand. Maybe they've built one since the video. In years gone by, it was a huge young people's haunt with a jute box blaring down the beach. It was difficult to find a sandy spot big enough to lay your towel. Of course we could park right next to the beach under a row of large poplar trees. At the other end of the beach, there was a crude change house. Just beyond that was a motel! Things DO change with time.
