🟣 According to the Rumi Calendar, Kalandar, which falls on the night of the thirteenth day of January, is the day when New Year's Eve is celebrated according to the old tradition. Kalandar, which is about to be forgotten, is a tradition that is still continued in Uzuntarla (Alithinos) village of Trabzon's Çaykara district and is eagerly awaited by the village people every year. According to tradition, men and the bride dress in an unrecognizable way and go from door to door asking for food or money, chanting the following chant: "Kalandar night, state chimney, fill your bowl, don't be rebellious." In return, the host asks for horon to be played, the team goes inside and plays horon. The Kalandar team wants the host to know the bride, and if he can, neither food nor money will be taken from him. In this way, you go from house to house.
