@@tomneff7030 i didn't know what to expect when he left but Alabama had just got off probation when Nick Saban got to Tuscaloosa and he didn't have as much to work with as Kirby Smart had when he took over Georgia and I like Kirby Smart he's a good coach hell he was a good defensive coordinator at BAMA I hated when he left 🐘

​@user-cv4zb7tg1i His system at Washington took a team that was mostly 3 star players to the National Championship game. Other than Saban, this coaching staff is significantly better than we have had the last 3 years.

Both teams had a considerable advantage in talent. I suppose you think Bamas roster loaded with high end 4 and 5 star players vs a roster of 3 star players won't be enough to get over the hump? Utah had the #19 scoring D and he got 35 on them.....and he did it with a glaring disadvantage in talent. Swing and a miss clown

But at bama it is ,it is running at 100% do not even tinker with it. I know he will put his way into the program but it should meld with what is the best program.in the nation. I hope deboer does great, how ever he does it just get er done. There is huge expectations here,he is a winner and we love winners.

College football has changed have to adapt or get left behind Saban definitely had awesome system but needed some tweaking to stay on top he realized that Deboer is how he did that

Lots of stuff plays into that like portal and nil but the basics remain better players and better coaching wins games period end of story. You get talent and coach them you will win no matter the rules or outside BS every team has to adapt to it to. Today there is more parity than ever with NIL so the basics still remain the same. yes times change game plans change but the basics blocking tackling running passing are what wins games nont NIL deals or cool uniforms, solid play solid coaching wins. The 2 biggest things still wins today talent and game planning

It’s definitely not hard to come on a win. It’s hard to come in and keep the winning coming. A few years from now will definitely be harder than this year.

The demise of this team will come in3-4 years. It's inevitable Don't even mention this guy in the same breath as Nick when it comes to recruiting. His class next year will be his first post Saban class.

@seancraven-tf6ec I wouldn't either. Nick left him a full cupboard. Initially..he couldn't of walked into a better situation. I think only12 of his recruits decided to go elsewhere. They are not gonna just suck in year. 1.

@@steveparks5030 Saban has been carried by Talent, especially the last 4 years. Bryce won them half the games off talent alone his two seasons starting. People who know football know this without any bias.

@@brianwarren3277 Except Perkins was a huge failure at every coaching stop he had made prior to Bama. That hire made no sense. He was a Bama alum which was why he got the nod. Dubose was another lazy "Bama alum" hire. But Dubose was a position coach and had never even worked as a coordinator. Perkins finished 2-2 vs Auburn during their greatest period in history and Dubose won an SEC title. Both coaches left Bama with a winning record. Deboer has won at every stop he's made and is undefeated vs Steve Sarkisian, Dan Lanning and Lincoln Riley. Every coach we hire ends uo having the best success of their career here. It's comical to hear people act like we just hired another Dubose...

@heydude36 I wasn't aware LSU fell apart after Saban left. I was under the impression they improved. Les Miles averaged 10 wins a season for almost his entire career at LSU while Saban only won 10+ twice. The other three seasons, Saban won 8 games twice, and 9 once. I don't disagree Alabama won't be the same as it was under Saban and Deboer will never be able to replicate what he did. Anyone who thinks he's going to waltz in and keep the momentum rolling is delusional. But if we're lucky enough to fall off just like LSU did, I'll gladly take it. Lol

@@NguyenLe-nt5to I never said LSU fell apart. I said they were never the same. He was building a dynasty and left for the NFL. While LSU has been good over the years and Les Miles was a hell of coach Saban was has never been truly replaced.
