I think it's because of their MTM design. Can't imagine how the Eris E66 truly are!

I could be happy with both. I think it’s a choice of relying on dsp or the manual adjustments of the Kali.

Once again thank you for this. I currently have the MTM's and I wanted to see how the KALI's stood up to the MTM's. Definitely a great contrast between the two.

Always amazed on how far tech has come, to get that much sound of such small speakers like the MTM. but overall...dunno why exactly, but i'd probably prefer the Kali LP-8's here slightly, very slightly over the MTM's... some parts did sound a bit better on them, more natural and not so DSP worked on, overall i find them to be very close to each other for the most part, also pricewise they are not far off, with about 300 for the LP-8 and 350 for the MTM (solo or twice as much for a pair), same amp power, similar loudness... so you have space, want to save a hundred bucks and still get very good sound...get the Kali's. space is lacking but youve got good 700bucks to spent and want good sound...get the MTM.^^ cant go wrong with any of them.

Kali-LP6 vs ILoud Micro 🙏🙏🙏🙏
@JoshyLats
@JoshyLats 4 года назад
Very close. Kali sounds a bit boxy but MTM sounds a bit 'thin', missing something (u can hear it on Man On Fire and Retro Wave mostly). MTM has a bit better response (can hear that with the acoustic guitar string plucks). Highs are louder, but I find it to be a bit annoying.

the iLoud MTM have to sound very nice, sad the integrated DSP makes them be very pricey while not doing so much (ex ARC user). Hope you can measure Tannoys 5 & 7 soon!
@MrMoviePhoneEx
@MrMoviePhoneEx 4 года назад
Leo_Vulkan Why an ex arc user? I was considering getting the v3 with the mem mic kit. I don’t own any other IK gear though so it’s not the most cost effective way to do it.

When you have the source track switch faster, so we can hear it back to back on a rolling basis.. can be biased when going back to chose and listen
@davidmcmillen9448
@davidmcmillen9448 4 года назад
MTM sound closer to the source track minus the sub bass and stereo separation, but that's probably due to how the monitors are recorded (both lacked sub and separation). Kali sounds congested in the low mids and lacks clarity in the highs. The only time when I felt the MTMs fell short was with the rock track, distorted guitar sounded boxed in, but who knows, maybe they were revealing a problem with the original mix? lol My vote goes MTM on this one. Thanks for the great vids!

I currently own mission qx-2 paired with quad vena integrated amp along with swan m200mkii + Asus xonar dx sound card (source = pc/phone bluetooth), I don't like both system for near field listening, can you suggest me the best desktop speakers for low to moderate level volume listening? room size is moderate. I will hardly be playing flac/mp3, it will be for RU-vid, spotify and movies only plus casual gaming. p. s vanatoo t1 not available in my country. I listen to a wide variety of music so good vocals and bass at low volume is my number 1 priority if available. My budget is flexible, however the most value for money is preferred. Also I like warmer sound signature, I don't like bright sounding speakers at all. i will appreciate a lot if you reply to this query, many thanks in advance and stay safe from covid-19.

From the graphs ILoud MTM seems to have more distortion and Noise levels? Noise floor is pretty high in the high Frequencies! Am I right?

@eshmekov
@eshmekov 3 года назад
MTMs irl sound way more powerful. They are based on psychoacoustics, when deep bass is not played on major frequency (for example, 30hz) dye to driver's size, but it is "painted" in your brain with higher harmonics of that low frequency. Mics cannot capture this effect. Also, MTMs are much much clearer and detailed in mids, however thats you'd expect for 2x the price.

HAHA its so funny, this little Speaker kills me again and again :D i see comparison vs my Presonus E66+dsp´s (have 3+krksub10s as front+center+sub behind home cinema 120" screen) and the iload is really good for this little speaker. ok for me not perfect(have dsp inside) and not loud enough for midfield but für near or maybe ultra nearfield is this really nice. like like like ^^ For ultra nearfield i have buy jbl 104 for 80€, sounds not so good like iload but for the price is that ok for me. greetings
@rockfella27
@rockfella27 4 года назад
So you think E66 better than iLoud or LP6/LP8?
@jenshuxley
@jenshuxley 4 года назад
@@rockfella27 vs lp6/8 yes, iloud is not so easy to compare, both have same resolution but e66 have 6.5 woofer, need more space for full bass response, iloud need less space and work perfect on nearfield. e66 is more for wide nearfield or midfield (2 or 2,5m, i have round 3 meter). e66 have so much more power, you can listen really loud, iloud cant that, push you volume on iloud higher you have some compress and distorted sound. For Nearfield/small room and not so loud volume is iloud the better choice, for louder and more space, or maybe midfield and bigger room presonus e66. here a comparison iloud mtm vs presonus 66 mtm. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sTAHodk3Z80.html | what thing you after see this comparison? you can see in this video that the presonus is recordet on nearfield, with more away from mic is the bass respone better but for a sound compare and hear the generally different i thing is the video ok. greetings. oh and i use presonus with bass wall filter and round 3db high shelf, sound really nice.
