Looks just like a FX dreamtac. All these guns are starting to look the same now. Looking forward to the style of air rifles coming full circle and classic sporter style bolt action rifle's coming back into fashion.
@@peteralexbeni love my m30 and see the modern tactical style guns as a clinical like a tool to get the job done but easy to keep clean and hard to damage, still not my style, kinda reminds me of paint ball guns with the air tanks and i do think they look rather silly at a rifle range, kinda like picking up the kids from school in a full off road speck 4x4 with included winches and snorkel only to never see wet grass let alone a muddy track, of course its all just an opinion and we are all entitled to our own. great review and for what you get great price, just not for me personally. i can see this being a farmers tool or a pest control tool rather than a beauty bragger at the range
A great review on an interesting rifle and oddly enough I have a space on my certificate for an FAC air rifle but neither of these guns makes the short list for me, particularly the FAC model. I’m a big fan of FAC air rifles and for decades I’ve have always had one in the gun cabinet but @ 50+” long and shooting 70ftlbs it doesn’t stand comparison with a regular .22rf. I’d much rather shoot a quality 30/40ftlb air rifle that fits the gap between a sub-12ftlb air rifle and a .22rf - and there are a lot of air rifles out there that fit the bill and are a lot more practical than something the size of a rowing oar. No criticism of Andy,l love and watch every episode but being primarily a hunter/pest controller I’m struggling to find something to get excited about when compared to the offerings of other big name manufacturers. Perhaps if lead is banned for the .22rf I’ll re-think things🤷♂️.
@@simonnoble7589Goodmorning! It is quite warm here, 13c. But dark grey and wet. Sun might be out this afternoon, but the wind will be too. No fun shooting in a 40mph wind...
Apparently the reason the cocking lever was stiff to operate on the FAC version was because the enameling on the breech bloke was to thick which meant the breach seal was not seating properly , This problem has now been fixed . How do I know this , because I just ordered one and the supplier told me that this was the problem . Great video mate .
Hi Andy Can you have a look at the Zbroia Hortitsia Black MK3 PCP Air Rifle I think you will like it. I like this review looks a nice gun keep up the good work
Morning Andy I can see you’re excited by these guns but for me I’m not a fan. I don’t like the styling personally, but that is a personal thing as you said. As for the FAC version, you could just use a .22 or .17 rim fire which would cost less and be considerably shorter.
@@uksnusreviews9455 yes but at 70ftlb you’d need to use slugs as pellets will go supersonic and lose accuracy. I can’t see the point of the FAC version of this rifle, if you want vermin control then a rim fire .22 would be much shorter and cheaper and you aren’t going to be burning through tons of ammo so the cost difference isn’t really an issue. For target shooting, why do you need the FAC version?
I think if you’ve got the cash it will be a fun gun to own, there’s just something special about big power air rifles even if they don’t do anything a 300£ Brno .22 can’t do 😊
Another great enthusiastic review. For me those dials look like a fault waiting to happen and they're positioned in a really odd way, cocking action looks a tad stiff, .22 fac I can't quite see the point of, just get a rimfire?
Hey there Andy, after watching your vids for ages (BTW Top work ! )... I've always fancied one of the tripods you use but have never found one online. Only just noticed the links listed !!! Got my order in finally !!!!
Bench rest shooters using 22lr are happy to get sub 2moa at 100metres. That fac just put pellet on pellet at 70metres. I wonder if the fac version could shoot sub 2moa at 100metres possibly even 1moa
When you were cocking the .22, 70 FP it didn’t look very smooth, this might have been because your hands were cold but it did seem to take some effort 🤔
Errrr back in 1986 I took my HW 80 to my local gun shop to have an ox mainspring fitted and according to them some polishing of the cylinder. Well after that it had the tendency to make that noise… yep I know it would have been dieseling and yes i know would have been slightly over powered. It’s funny that gun shop got its licence to sell FAC taken off them and now they only sell fishing and outdoor gear.
As a few have commented edgun springs to mind regards the straight pull.... But kalibrgun reputation proceeds them as does most eastern European manufacturers now
A lot of modern cars look the same because of shared platforms/parts etc. The same seems true of "tactical" rifles and that gives a lot of choice. It becomes even more important to try before you buy so the NEC gun show is the place to go!
Awesome, the problem I had with a FAC air rifle and slugs close to the one you tested was the trajectory. Perfect bull group zeroed at 40m; Fired at 30m hitting low, fired at 60m hitting high, at 80m hitting higher, at 100m same as 80m but left. At 120m? I had no idea where the slugs had gone. So back to the accurized Ruger 10/22, banana magazines, Winchester subsonic (before they were awful) or CCI Stinger hypersonic (perfection). And why exactly are CCI Stingers £250 per 1000 now? 25 years ago they were £40-50 per 1000! Cheers Andy, keep up the fantastic work.
I shoot from a resting position as this is the most stable position. this is because I am testing the guns accuracy rather than my ability, bringing consistency to the reviews. shooting from a standing position will purely show my ability and not the guns, and it’s not about me. stay safe.
That FAC on was about the power of a .22 Short or a .25/6.35mm automatic pistol and the supersonic crack was really evident if it was in .30 it should be subsonic but probably still supersonic in .25?
@7:10 So what about the Matador R5M and Lelya 2.0 then? :-) That quality and precision is what to expect from Kalibrgun but the price was a nice surprise! Not cheap but pretty good value for the money! Nice review as usual, big thumbs up!
looks good but i could see when you were cocking the rifle you two fingers looked really close to the magazine, could be a problem if you got big fingers! these seem to be like a few others, styled on the fx range ? keep up with the great shows .
They look like great rifles, but the FAC Snipe is too long. I can't imagine carrying that on a harness, while carrying a tripod etc around a field, without dragging the muzzle through the dirt. It'd have to be carried horizontally (which I prefer not to do for safety reasons) plus it would catch on everything.
Does the rti priest and one of the Aea guns have straight pull? Why can't these manufacturers put gauges aligned properly also a fully shrouded barrel would look a lot better apart from that it's a ok gun, there's my can't over with 😁😁
I like the dovetail to picatinny bridge, been looking for something like that to customise a rifle for ages. The Webley Nemesis X PCP has one, does anyone know if these can be bought separately?
