For some reason this instrument just makes me think of a small farming based hub village in an RPG. A place where you could just sit under the shade of a tree and watch the sunset. I feel like this instrument would compliment a hand-pan drum, I’ll have to go search for that combo now lol.

Since it uses all natural notes it can play the scales C Major, D Dorian, E Phyrgian, F lydian, G Mixolydian, A minor and B locrian, and locrian always sounds like shit though. :)

Cloak star YT I can elaborate more, but to make it brief, the whole movie was based around her plan to escape, right? A lot of people dumped on the ending, because when it came down to the last stretch, she didn’t even try to run, and let the other girl go, then went back and got lobotomized. But that was the point, she didn’t WANT to escape the institution, she wanted to escape from what she had done. Her entire plot, was to push that sack of crap orderly into getting her lobotomized. Along the way, she helps the other girl, the only one who wasn’t irreparably broken, escape. Basically doing what she’d failed to do for her sister. Then she also brought down the orderly, who was pimping the girls out, in case you didn’t get what the “dancing” was a metaphor for.

If you have ever watched avatar the last airbender, there is a part of the soundtrack called “safe return”. Its such a peaceful melody played with kalimba and i think it would be great for an asmr video... but also great for my nostalgia

It's amazing that the intricacies of your tactile sense and why you're calming in your own myriad unique ways is something you can even translate to how you strike the keys. I love your taste, pretty much everything you decide to use is something I also love. If you like these instruments, it may be worth trying different ones as there seems to be a lot of variation and less standard so you can get very different sound from differently made, shaped and arranged ones. Always wish I could afford a really nice one, they are so intuitive to the way human hands work they are more like a toy that gets a good sound out easily. Sort of like chimes or forks or bowls. This kind of instrument has a place in calming the listener as much as the player. They are great for anxiety, frustration or general calm.

YASSSS, dude im so stoked to see more ASMRtists incorporating music into their videos (not to mention live playing of instrument, hella Kudos my dude!!) i always play like atmospheric music or soft classical music on spotify to accompany the ASMR videos id watch, this is SO fuckin cool, this a big 100/10 for me!! id (personally) love to see more videos that incorporate melodic instrumentation, i think its an aspect of ASMR that should definitely be explored more; also i know others have done it in the past, not that it's never been done, but i feel like its one of those Mouth Sounds Dilemas, where you either love it, or hate it, and i love it, lol so maybe im biased, but i love that more ASMR creators are exploring the use of musical sounds!!!.
