It gives me goosebumps to think that there are people out there in the world that think like this. I come from the island of Zante and my surname is Xenos which in Greek means foreigner. Legend has it that the people Xenos came originally from Italy. My DNA showed Italian influence. I love Italy and I have been through it 5 times by car and bus in my way to Greece from Scotland where ilive. I also have been to Venice on holiday. Love from Scotland.

I'm Greek Thracian. It's absolutely amazing and chilling how Greeks of Southerne Italy have managed to save the Greek language over more than 2000 since Greek colonisation ! Huge respect for the ancestors of ancient Greeks !
@@supermavro6072thrace is a very old region of Greece. North-east Greece. Today, one part belongs to Greece, another part to Bulgaria and one part to Turkey (thats where Konstantinopole belongs)
From 🇬🇷, thanks to all my brothers and sisters in Italy for that beautiful song!!! It's amazing how beautiful this Greek dialect is.. i can't hold my tears! Native-born Greeks that live among the world for many thousands of years or millenniums (ancient greek colonies) have the most beautiful dialects!!!
Why? Both the music and language are very very beautiful. From a history perspective, both Greeks and Italians have good reasons for considering the own culture as the greatest. This is at least not ridiculous whilst some nationalistic Eskimos claim the same for their own though! They stated that, regrettably all their constructions and sculptures melted.
@@nezihesal6915 Greek doesn't have any definite culture, That's why it like to appropriate others, and claim them as "Greek". Turkish food, Caucasian dance, Albanian dress, Neapolitan music, Levantine architecture, Anatolian lslands , Middle Eastern religion...etc. But they claim them all as Greeks. How can you get more ridicouIous than this ?
Magna Grecia. La Grande Grecia il sud Italia dal Salento alla Sicilia. Quanti retaggi quanti monumenti e la magia di ascoltare ancora il griiko. La notte della Taranta per non perdere questa maglia e lo studio del griiko....

Amazing song!!! Amazing Greek culture!! I am very happy that these parts of greek culture and history, Magna Grecia and Sicily, still keep and restore their root, their Greek greetings from Patra, Achaea, Peloponnese region.....
I hear a Greek Cypriot dialect in there also.Tze is very Cypriot. The amazing thing is that part of the Cypriot dialect also includes Italian words. The Italians were in Cyprus also so we have words like baoulo, kourtella ect.The Greco/Italian influence is amazing, unique and magical.Hope it never fades and is around for eternity.
@@yiannimil1 Oh yes and the grandparents, are a very big part of Cypriot life.Now.to confuse you more,Yiayia is an out and out Greek word,in Cyprus,in dialect, we also use the word,Stede.which means,Yiayia also.Stay healthy, happy and safe.
First time I hear this dialect, the song, the dance moves......I am in shock!!!!! Amazing!!! Πρώτη φορά ακούω αυτή την σίγουρα διάλεκτο Ελλήνων Κάτω Ιταλίας. Ζω Αμερική, τρελάθηκα με την μουσική, γλώσσα, χορευτικό, εκτέλεση. Είμαι πραγματικά σε σοκ και δέος. Αρχικά νόμισα ήταν ποντιακή διάλεκτος, αλλά μετά νιώθεις είναι ιταλικης σχολής. Α ρε Ελλαδαρα !!!!!
l have mixed Greekness with 37 percent South ltalian and Pontus,Trabzon (from the eastern Black Sea, today is in Turkey ).We will never forget our Greek root!❤🙏👏🤗
Que suerte que a Cuba nos llegó esta maravillosa cultura En el Puerto de la Habana de los años 50' en el Bar Helena se reunían tripulaciones griegas Una delicia Abrazo de un cubano-griego libre
Wow, that is Amazing! I would Love to learn more about this as I have a very close Cuban friend! God Bless you from a Greek my friend who Loves your country & culture a lot as well!!! 🇬🇷💙🇨🇺

What an amazing performance!!! And the dance looks like it has come out of a black-figure ancient vase!!! May you keep (y)our tradition!! Τι καταπληκτική παράσταση!!! Και ο χορός μοιάζει σαν να έχει βγει από ένα μελανόμορφο αρχαίο βάζο!!! Μακάρι να κρατήσετε την παράδοση μας/σας!!
I am fascinated by the perfect rhythm, the dedication of the singers, the coreography of the dancers, by the artistic act itself absolutely fantastic and you can't stay indifferent because it is true art and every minute inspires us to be happy and to enjoy life. Anca

Stupendo! Anche se vivo al nord dell'italia ho avuto la fortuna di vedere un paio di spettacoli del sud, e più o meno si capisce tutto quello che cantano. Evviva! Continua a mettere altri video così
