Also in Mahabharata, both Kaurava & Pandava had good character & bad character. But the deciding factor, why Krishna chose Pandava side was because they were on the side of Dharma. Kauravas had crossed the line, even though both parties were grey in character, like most manava are in real life. Ashwathama had legitimate grievances like his father & friend's vadh by cunning tactics & deceit, but he forgot, he too had done the same. Mahabharata is supposed to show how dirty war can be, even between brothers. Aswathama was spoiled by Drona, he was a spoiled brat. In his anger, blind about his own crimes, he went into Pandava camp & without knowing, vadh pandava sons. Then he returned to Duryodhana to tell him, he did the deed. Duryodhana died peacefully. However, on knowing he made a mistake, the brat Aswathama, again tried to go for Pandavas, with Arjuna challenging him - brahmastra to brahmastra. Krishna, who was in camp, then interfered & told them to withdraw their astras. Arjuna did as he was told, but Aswathama being a brat, did not & left the astra on Uttara's child. This is what angered Krishna. Narayana has niyantrana on all his senses, but justified anger has to run its course. Anger that has a dharmic purpose, must be respected. Krishna then destroyed Aswathama's mani & cursed him to be a leper like chiranjivi.

From where are you getting your information? Both as Rama & Krishna, Narayana does not need instructions to remain calm. Narayana is paramathman (Vedas, Ramayana, Mahabharata & Gita). He wears Kaustubha Mani as Vishnu, that even Shiva cannot wear, because it corrupts the mind. Narayana has full niyantrana of his emotions & desires, while Shiva has niyantrana on all emotions & desires except one, his anger. This is a serious weakness, that Shiva as Adiyogi, is doing Taps to overcome & his aradhya is Hari.

@@Sachin-kh3ge Not one but MANY people have seen Ashwatthama in Jungles of Haryana and Rajasthan Puse and Blood from Forehead Asking for food But when they get the food and medicine that person already disappeared Many people have faced this There is also Temple of Shiv ji in Rajasthan where Aswathama comes and light Diya for Bhagwan Shiv ji
