In initial scenes when boy says Kashi ( varanasi) You can see the Ghats ( river bank ) of kashi Without water, only sand. There's also a modern creamatorium like thing to burn body, like it happens in Varanasi at the moment.

The thing with these kind of movies related to Sanatan Dharma is that the depiction is very wrong as compared to what is mentioned in the Vedas. The main intention behind making a film based on Sanatan Dharma is to get the appreciation from the Hindu community but a very important thing on which the film makers miss is the depiction and presentation which is very distinctively mentioned in the scriptures about the characters and the story of these characters. Giving the story and the characters a fresh and new presentation they majorly compromise on the correct authentication from its original sources and that became the reason of failing of these big budget films at the box office, from which Adipurush is the biggest one
