Our travels took us to Liyama and a beautiful hotel called Flora Togari.
We traveled here to eat a local hotpot dinner in an igloo. The journey is a scenic train ride including bus transport through heavy snow. The food was delightful, full of flavour and with local produce.
I absolutely recommend the igloo dinner and staying in a local onsen.
The hosts Kobayashi-san were so helpful and go out of their way to make your stay one to remember. As their son is a champion skier you can look at the medals and hear the stories of his success.
Kamakura Snow Dome Village & Flora Togari is a place you must add to your next visit.
