I'm childless by choice because I burned out on childcare from having to cover for neglectful parents. I did my best to give my siblings a better life - changing diapers, making meals, and eventually working 2 jobs to support them. Yeah, as a woman who is also single and childless, I work overtime at a domestic violence shelter because I just don’t care at all about anyone in this country and DEFINITELY don’t want to help everyday Americans of all genders (and their children! And their pets!) get to a safe place where they can then get back on their feet. We should start a club, but we’re too miserable and lazy right?

I have been a single mom for 8 years. My 2 Republican X husbands bailed. I especially in the summer think about how nice it would be to not have children and instead have cats. I don’t think he realises that some people can’t have kids, despite wanting them. Don’t get me wrong, there’s no problem with just not wanting kids. I fall into that group myself. But I can only imagine how hurtful his comments must have been to people who can’t have kids. Being told you’re worthless or somehow less for something that’s out of your control and that you’d dearly want if you could. Add another layer to that: Imagine how anyone who can’t have kids as a result of a pregnancy that they needed a medical or surgical termination for but couldn’t get due to laws people like him are pushing.

It's funny how childless cat ladies are the happiest people I know. The two main things that people complain about, aside from their jobs, are their spouses and their children. You eliminate 2/3 of human stressors and you often end up with a happier person. Obviously, spouses and children can also be sources of great joy, but so can career, family, travel, friendship and freedom
I've noticed that too, I don't think there is anyone helping him any more. You would think when he goes on those tv shows they would have someone do everyone's hair, he must not let them.
