Government subsidies aren't going to change a thing about housing prices. What we need is a shift in the tax code that discourages large corporations from buying up thousands of houses and artificially inflating their prices. This would cause a massive surge in houses entering the market for cheap to get them off of the hands of those who hoard entire neighborhoods to sell at exorbitant prices

I support bringing back the expanded child tax credit, but the issue I see with a 25k housing subsidy will be what happened to the EV subsidy….. Greedy dealers hiked up the sales price waiting that tax credit/ incentive. There has to be protections built into that housing subsidy to keep that from happening… maybe cap the cost of the homes or have a way that builders can obtain materials at a lower wholesale cost?

Does this benefit voter? $25K house support vs over $100K house price increase due to inflation as well as the increase in property tax. They don’t have knowledge about economics but the voters have.

More government spending is how to keep inflation high. Groceries, gas, clothing, energy prices will continue going up so people won't be able to afford housing with what's left over.

I'm retired.... none of this stuff helps me... Government entitlements will only raise taxes. Price fixing will only reduce supply. This stuff is only lip service.

If you are sad about inflation, look at the party that worships the "free market economy" and "zero regulation". I tried to go to this rally in Raleigh, checked on the hour what time she would be here and our local news never posted it until AFTER THE FACT. Something was extremely off about this visit. They're supposed to warn the city so they can navigate traffic better..... they didn't.. they said it would be 300 ppl, now the news is saying only 100 ppl showed up but how did they even know what time to go when it wasn't posted ANYWHERE on our local and even Charlotte news channels?!?! So sus.
1. Taxpayers pay for the child tax credit. This is basically her promising to put a couple grand in certain peoples pockets over the next 4 years. Hardly anything noteworthy. 2. That $25,000 for homebuyers will again, be paid for by taxpayers. Whatever it entails will most definitely have numerous asterisks and requirements that end up making it beneficial for a SMALL portion of the population. 3. Price gouging for food and groceries is not a thing. A free market sets costs due to supply and demand. Prices have gone up primarily due to increased production/distribution costs and many other factors.
Nothing about secure border, Nothing about drilling for oil, Nothing about helping VETS, Nothing about helping our military ... an why is she after 3 1/2 doing very little now ........?
The only problem with the border is xenophobia, the USA is producing more oil now than we ever have before, the VA system is better now than it was during the Trump years, and she was VP when Biden (at long last) ended the war in Afghanistan.
