I am British Pakistani and I have two kids both boys it will be inspiring for them too. For all kids of varying minority backgrounds

I think some Chinese based hero TV show is coming on Disney+ sometime in the future.

As a British Pakistani, thanks for this great comment. Also I think Shang Chi will cater to the Chinese representation too. It's so important for representation to be more than cliche stereotypes like taxi drivers or noodle chefs for brown/oriental asians.

I will only address your insinuation that the decline of western entertainment is due to "pandering to minorities". That's a clearly disingenuous statement that one can only take seriously if they already agree with your political assessment of the matter. Sequelitis, general milking of big brand names and lack of original ideas are by far the bigger nails in that coffin. As for comparing Hollywood to other entertainment sectors, you're missing a huge point which is that Hollywood's international reach is still leagues ahead of the others. 70% of box office revenue for Hollywood comes from the international, not domestic market. Bollywood is an Indian entity making movies for Indians (with some other South Asians), the Chinese film industry is a Chinese entity making movies for Chinese (with some other East and South East Asians), and Nollywood is a Nigerian entity making movies for Nigerians (with some West and North Africans). And Hollywood? Hollywood is an international entity making movies for an international audience, that happens to have started in the US. So assuming that people care about representation, which clearly a lot people do even if you don't, the only viable approach from both a business and logical perspective is to "pander", as you put it so distastefully.

She's my favorite out of all the characters in the beta just because she's so fun to play as when you get the polymorph down

I like her, her character development was great but I disappointed at the fact that she’s not in the same universe as Miles Morales from Sony’s animated movie.

Yo I agree, and it's with characters like this when introduced but THIER overall purpose is done right you start having a liking towards them and it feels all natural

And miles is a "black spider-man" but the backstory, characterization, and personalities are completely different. The thing is they gave them their own storylines apart from other characters (in miles case a completely different reality). Rather then things like iron heart, jane foster thor, or cho chang hulk just taking over the place of an original characters.

@@ronsorage78 Dude, it was heavily shown that both Iron Heart and Jane were never going to be replacements. For one thing Riri never refered to herself as Iron Man and Tony was just in a temporary coma as implied and hinted several times in the comics. Jane was at a time limit, every time she used her Thor persona it ate away at her Cemo medication, this was shown the moment they revealed the mysterious new 'Thor' was her.

Captain Marvel has been getting alot of hate in the MCU, so I hope that her mentor relationship with Kamala, helps humanise her, for the audience members who aren't fans.

She's not the main character lol why is everyone so pressed about their choice to include Ms marvel? There going for an inhuman storyline with aim and modok and i think the story they chose to go with uses Kamala perfectly plus you don't have to play her all the time if you don't want to (like mortal Kombat except for the character specific chapters) she's a cool niche character that makes there game less vanilla and more interesting I'm literally getting this game just because of her since everyone hates her for some reason

Im sorta new to marvel comics. More like a normie. You mind defining to me what a legacy character is if you disagree with people saying Kamala Khan is one?

@@crimsonalpha4578 A legacy character is a hero whose's mantle is passed down generation by generation, with different characters taking up the mantle. Robin is a good example, because many people have become Robin throughout DC history. The original poster wasn't saying he disagreed that Kamala was legacy character, (because she is, she's the new Ms. Marvel), but that people complaining that Kamala is using a pre-existing mantle instead of a new unique one don't understand the concept of what a legacy character is.

the in-comic explanation is that she can, but when she is transformed she cant heal herself (she has a weaker wolverine-style healing factor) and simply chooses not to. she basically wants to be her own hero. but, she also DOES transform to fool her enemies, changing into sofas and stuff (yes, that actually happens).

@@anthonylima4452 well, she is a relatively new hero, so there is not that much content with her compared to other heroes. having said that, i definitely recommend her first appearance in "Ms Marvel" (2014). i cant say i like how it ends (kinda sudden with the multiverse dying as comicstorian explained in this video) but it is only a 19 - issues story, so it wont take up much of your time and is a fun read. i only peeked in the follow up series Ms Marvel (2016), but that was to mainstream for my taste, so i cant really recommend it.

Ya they go into that in the comics and she has to fight captain marvel and her respect for her drops as captain marvel becomes more authorative

@@dillardironhead2759 ok good lol but ya she ends up going through a whole arc where her and the other young heroes question just how much the adult heros like the avengers actually know what's "right" they form the champions and ms marvel has to face captain marvel and just how authorative her idol has become needless to say I love her story arc (except for the most recent comics but that's another thing) she's written very naturally and I like her

An example? So a character who's not sold anything, doesn't get a run that lasts and is at best mediocre?
