Give that money to local businesses that will educate and keep our kids off the streets away from drugs. Ice rinks, rollar, rinks, ceramic shops, Bowling Allies, recreational baseball teams and so many other businesses! Give the businesses vouchers and recruit our youngsters.

I'm a school bus driver. My school district was awarded $1.5 million in federal funding. We can only use that money to buy 4-electric school buses. We can only use these buses for pickup and return home the children to and from school because they do not have the range to do that and also do after school activities like taking sport teams to games without running out of power! Also. Because these school buses are so heavy, the school district has to tear up a section of the asphalt parking lot where they are located when not in use because they would sink through the asphalt. To remedy this problem, the school district has to install a 10 inch thick concrete pad to park them on! Also run the electrical cables and install charging stations! What is my major concern with these buses is how safe are they! The lithium batteries are located all along the underside of the floor directly beneath where the children sit. Since these buses have not been tested in the area where I live, where temperatures range at times from 100° to -25° (that's not counting wind chill or high humidity), just how safe are these buses? Everyone has seen just how fast these lithium batteries catch fire and explode, so evacuating as many as 71 children off these buses will be a challenge if not an impossibility! So my question is. Are we going to wait until this experiment happens to figure out if children could die before parents and school districts across the nation determine if these school buses are a safe way to transport our children?? If we do wait until then, it'll be too late!!!!

When are politicians gonna figure out we can't pay our bills!

I walked to school, 10 miles each way, uphill each way, knee deep in snow in the morning and 200 degrees in the afternoon. School buses didn’t even exist yet. I did ride a dinosaur once.
