it sucks that the original cast didn't do the voice recording, but that's a minor problem imo

I started this having absolutely no idea it was Kamen Rider, but as soon as the henshin started I was already in too deep. This show is great!

Actually you can if you preorder the Luna-trigger and heat-metal figuarts the former comes with first six episodes and the latter comes with the last episodes.

Well it helped that the staff that wrote and produced the series is the same as in the original series

@@DarkAnon100 And the studio in charge of animated it are long time fans of Kamen Rider. They also make a henshin hero series with females before this called "Symphon Gears". Literally the poured the same quality of animation they give to that anime.

The thing is, this whole under appreciation is partially due to how badly Saban botched it up when he attempted to adapt Kamen Rider Black RX in the 90’s.

​@evilmonkey1075 so true, and you know what messed up when we did adaptation of kamen rider ryuki we didn't finish it and the original writers for ryuki said that the plot was better then there's was and that was the last time we saw kamen rider in America I would love a American version of any kamen rider as long as they keep the tone

That bothered me a lot too. Because there are times when he could've handled it himself without becoming W.

My assumption would be that Shotaro stopped carrying both at once on him after Philip had returned at the end of the series. It's possible that the author of Fuuto PI had overlooked its use in crossovers that came after the main show (Movie War Megamax is the only time I recall it being used after W ended).

Shotaro rushed too emotionally against Phillip before this so I doubt he preparad himself properly. It has always been Shotaro's fallacy to be overly emotional.

It's either of them. W and Double are written about the same in Japanese and the driver intentionally has a W form when activated. Plus the opening song is WBX~ W goes extreme~

There's also W imagery all over the series.

You do know that Japan loves their puns and wordplay right? W means both the letter "W" and the word "Double". The letter "W" pronounced in Japanese sounds like the English word "Double". The W Driver forms the letter "W" when opened and Shoutarou and Philip form the letter "W" when doing their henshin pose. So when they are addressed as "W" or "Double" when transformed, both meanings are correct; though the letter "W" is pronounced as "Double" instead of "double-u".
