Kampala Mukono Railway starts next month - Residents warned over dumping of garbage on the line 

The long-awaited passenger train service between Kampala and Mukono is set to begin operation on the 1st of next month, aiming to alleviate the notorious traffic congestion along the Kampala-Jinja road. The Uganda Railway Corporation, in partnership with security organs, inspected the railway line today, confirming that 80% of the work has been completed. The reintroduction of the passenger train is expected to reduce accidents and provide an efficient alternative for commuters.
