Kampanela - Christmas Truce (Sabaton Cover) 

No one says that though. They've been awarded with the Swedish Public Education Award for telling history as it is in a way that reaches hundreds of thousands. There is absolutely nothing glorifying in their lyrics, quite the opposite.

The only time I know that sabaton has truly taken a stance on war is the song (I'm afraid I have forgotten the name) condemning and patranizing the Taliban.

People telling that are those who don't understand music in general. I know some of these people. Usually they also don't understand nor can they follow the lyrics of a song. For them, a song that talks about any bad occasion in history is pro-war, all rap-music comes from criminal gangs, all metal is pure evil and satanic and so on and so on. In short: They are an absolute embarassement to themselfs xD They can not comprehend that music is not all about pure happiness, but it often enough tells truth, even the uncomfortable one. :)

@@akula2828 The Truce was spread throughout multiple fronts, as different battalions had the same idea. Many boys died trying to initiate a truce for Christmas, as the two sides were distrustful of each other. It wasn't a sole event. It was so widespread that after it subsided, generals and commanders put rules into play that if it happened again, participating soldiers would be harshly punished. It's one of the sources of the term "fraternizing with the enemy". Many fronts did fight throughout Christmas, but in many places, the guns fell silent for a time. Also Lance Corporal Hitler was present during the Truce, he was one of those who reported the incident.

@@akula2828 on most fronts it lasted only a day, altough it is worth mentioning that the soldiers had to be moved to different fronts because they refused to fire at each other the next day saying they wouldn't shoot at their friends. On a 500 km long stretch the truce lasted until summer 1915
