If you look closely at the damage each bullet does, Hemlok does about 20-22 damage per bullet. R-99 does about 12-15 per bullet. Keep in mind the type of ammo; heavy ammo hits harder but has slower fire rate while light ammo has less punch but has high fire rate. Also notice how they were able to hit the other more consistently with a gun with less fire rate. I think it comes down to “aim” and the “situation”. With an smg with high fire rate like the R-99 you want to be close enough so that the bullets you spew out can easily hit. Guns that have 3 round bursts/single fire/auto fire but with less fire rate do a little better at farther ranges mainly due to the type of bullet, and you conserve bullets each clip for a prolonged fight which means less reloading. Of course, if you have godlike aim with an smg like the R-99 you’d be able to melt down people in two clips max. Sorry for this huge mess, just saying what is going through my head

best thing about hemlok is how reliable it is, it's single shots are crazy in medium-close range . hemlok combined with close range weapons are a good combi for teams with rush playstyle. that's probably why kanae and sumomo likes it

actually hemlok is not bad at all, it's very accuracy and have small recoil, and have single fire mode when you need to saving ammo, it's very good from early -> mid game

bruh I agree Hemlok bursts are crazy, in a way I actually prefer semi-auto/burst weapons over full auto on APEX, they're just so much easier to control and I think this proved true here. with bursts/single shots you waste less ammo trying to track your target lol. and as an added bonus, hemlok's own damage is great.

I think it always comes down to aim since using hemlock allows you to aim better with those slow rate of shooting but others literally spam like crazy

NGL, but one time i use hemlock on burst fire mode and down 7 ppl with it. some time my aim fucked it up but yeah most people sleep on hemlock. also i use mouse wheel to fire whenever im using hemlock

for you know, actually hemlock is strong but kanae use pathfinder in fact most difficult to hit than wraith. i know wraith hitbox is the smallest in apex but pathfinder move is unpredict and when you britghness is low that make pathfinder more difficult to hit. we need full brightness to shoot pathfinder

i think kanae do better evade movement than uruha, i doubt the weapon matter the most. . to answer uruha question, hemlock spits out multiple bullets at once in short interval. so if it hits, you get more dmage than r99 or carbine where you need to adjust aim on strafing enemy. but getting used on hemlock is hard so its the least fav weapon

I don't watch Uruha's stream so I can't say what I'm saying is true but I feel like I wouldn't get along with Uruha at all. Do you really have to discriminate a gun just because you aren't good at it? Then when proved wrong, you'll just make excuses.
