Why people living with hiv/aids is such a big thing?? Ik HIV is not spread through casual contact, still our generation lacks knowledge in these things and over react! proud of you guys, keep bring up such contents. And secondly, even if you drink hiv positive blood, HIV gets destroyed by Acid of our stomach.. only way you could get infected from drinking hiv infected blood or is if you have oral or gastric ulcers or other wounds inside your digestive tract. This is also a very rare case. The virus spreads from bodyfluids through open wounds or cuts. So the odds of a hiv positive person mixing their blood in your water and you also having ulcers in your digestive tract is very slim.
Superb work… this artist and the team portrayed the biggest truth… and that truth is…nobody will help a woman especially when she is wrong according to society’s perspective… entire team did a wonderful job… it was more like a normal movie…
At first we see a girl in love, in bliss and free after confirming her pregnancy, knowing all about her ex and sruff, she goes to the hospital to confirm whether she is positive for HIV or not and this is first time we see her carrying around a handbag Then she loses her place to stay, loses her friend and the no of bags she carries increasing she even loses her respect to be treated as human being when she was denied a room in a hotel and when the stranger in the bus stand touches her without her consent. But she keeps carrying those bags around, with a lot of effort. when her last hope, her family abandon her, she is shown extremely tired of carrying all the bags. She is lost with all her bags. She starts to acknowledge/ embrace what she was carrying and WITH NOT HAVING ANYTHING TO LOOSE NOW, she plays around ( being herself, A LITTLE GIRL SHE SHOULD HAVE ALWAYS BEEN) and drops her bags/baggage/kanam, one by one AND NOW SHE IS FREE!!!! I watched this short film 1or 2 days ago and can't stop thinking about this delicious visual storytelling... so I came back here!!!!
I think she jumped in front of vehicle and suicided. But I think it's more of an open ending. There could be other interpretations as well. Idk if i should praise the director for showing the truth of how badly even to this day many Malayalis perceive Tamils. Like , whom do such ignorants think they descend from. Are they even aware of history , harboring such hate for their own long lost brethren. But Tamils here in TN still innocently love you people. Such a sad situation.
I really don’t think Malayalis hate Tamils or consider themselves above Tamils in any aspect. There might be a few, just like there might be a few Tamils who feel the same way towards Mallus. All Mallus I know including my family and friends have a lot of Tamil friends and have a strong sense of fraternity and brotherhood towards Tamilians unlike with the people of any other state in India.
