At the same time, Pekora’s English is noticeably being so much better now that she can communicate with Moona without even feeling awkward and even smoothly helping to communicate with Moona too few times...... I am feeling so proud of both of them

For anyone curious as to how these sentence may have been formed: "lapis lazuli give me" is probb a literal translation from 頂戴/ちょうだい/choudai which literally means "give me" and is a slightly feminine/childish way of humbly asking for something. it comes off as "rude-ish" in English, but that's because respectfully requesting for something in English involves words like "please/would you/could you/can you/can I/may I/etc." and that's honestly way too advanced for them. "usaken summer fes station. Now" is more likely kanata trying to say "今はusaken summer fest stationにいる" or "I'm at usaken station (right) now". which, clearly that sentence takes quite a leap away from the way the Japanese sentence is structured, and thus you get the sentence Kanata wrote.

@@m8onethousand I find it funny that Japanese people are known for being really polite, but when Kanata and Pekora asked Moona for something in English, they come off rude. Moreso because they are oblivious to that fact

True. She, pekora, and Miko was really livin up the new server. You can feel the 1st, 2nd gen and even gamers were kinda bored of minecraft at the time and PekoMikoMoona really livin up the new server with each of their unique interactions and shenanigans.

Note: What I am impressed with is her confidence in using casual japanese instead of 'chotto matte (kudasai)' which is more formal and usually first learned as Indonesian. I don't really watch Moona minecraft stream so idk if she already comfortable using casual japanese beforehand, but this is really nice to know considering how awkward she is before.

She has a japanese teacher, probably the teacher taught her to use the formal one

Moona is also in Discord server with Usaken members. It helps alot that she can both have way more exposure to Japanese language, able to translate sentences to help her get used to it, and even talked with them in voice chat. Google Translate or DeepL are actually pretty good with individual words, or more basic sentences. Moona also progressing quite far too that she have confidence to have voice chat collab with Usaken members. Also seems that other Usaken members are picking up alot more English to help them talk more, and Pekora is markedly very used to talking with Moona. Usaken is really proving to be alot of boons.

English is one of the easiest languages to learn lmao it's just that Japanese aren't taught to speak at least tourist level because they almost never leave Japan due to having it all there and at most they go to Okinawa to enjoy the tropical beach.
