As you all know, a major earthquake occurred in Ishikawa Prefecture on January 1, 2024. In 2023, in addition to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Israeli army began invading the Gaza Strip. As I write this, I have received a news bulletin that the British and American forces have launched airstrikes on the bases associated with the Houthi rebels in Yemen. On January 1, 2024, we uploaded a video of "Hakusan Hongu Kaga Ichinomiya Shirayama Hime Shrine" with a wish for peace. Shortly after uploading, a major earthquake struck. My home is in Kanazawa City, so there was no major damage. I myself am from Noto, so many of my acquaintances, including childhood friends and relatives, have been victimized.
In November of last year, I filmed Oku Noto to create a video for the "Aze no Kirameki Oku Noto International Art Festival 2023". That beautiful scenery has been destroyed.
"Kanazawa Yuwaku Edo Village Highlights Guide" was taken on January 6, 2024. There was no major damage to Kanazawa Yuwaku Edo Village. There was not a single tourist, and I took pictures while feeling the aftershocks. This channel is operated with the concept of "loosely transmitting the charm of Ishikawa Prefecture ~. I would like to continue to disseminate information while thinking about those who were affected by the earthquake.
Kanazawa Yuwaku Edo Village is a Kanazawa City History Museum located in the back room of Kanazawa, "Yuwaku Onsen". It opened in September 2010 with the aim of relocating and preserving buildings from the Edo period, deepening understanding of history and culture, and improving culture. There are historical buildings in the village that have been designated as important cultural properties of Japan and tangible cultural properties of Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. The park is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is closed every Tuesday (or the next day if Tuesday is a holiday). The park is closed from December 29th ~ January 3rd regardless of the day of the week. Admission is 310 yen for adults, 260 yen for groups (20 or more), 210 yen for people over 65 years old, and free for high school students and younger. It is also a facility eligible for the Kanazawa City Cultural Facilities Common Admission Ticket. If you apply for a reservation in advance, it is possible to rent out one house for a fee. For details, please visit the official website of Kanazawa Yuwaku Edo Village.
