FUN FACT: while working on this I found out that if you are struggling with the legs, just pull on the bead farthest from the body and the string at the same time to make it easier to get rid of extra slack
i've lost soOO many needles and thumbtacks in my bed before!!!!! agh its agony, i've only gotten stabbed once and it was when it was already off of my bed because it fell off, i've woken up next to thumbtacks too many times to count o.O lol!!!
First time ever doing kandi, went AMAZING! This was super easy to understand even with no experience, he looks a little off because I used a different type of bead but I still love him!
I've never made a 3d pony bead thing and I changed the colors to a purple gradient and still got through this with very minimal struggle! Thanks for the clear and concise tutorial!
Ooo, I'm in the middle of making mine right now! I'm hoping to turn him into a keychain! :D 🌈 (Edit: I turned him into a keychain and everyone luvs him, thank you so much for the tutorial!! :D)
super helpful loved everything about this tutorial. just started kandi yesterday and this is my third project. i had to replace the eyes with dark green as i do not have black. turned out amazing
So cute I'm gonna try and make one !!! I'll come back this week and see if it turns out ! Edit 1hr later: I did it , I used mini beads so it was harder ...and I had use regular string enstead of elastic string cause I couldn't find mine, but it turn out fine This was a new way of doing kandi as well (pattern) I do mine different but I eventually got it and it turn out like it but mini :3
I love him!! I made him black and pink as a refrence to my favorite singer bc he always paints his nails that color, I made him as a desk pet and the legs are quite tight so he’s like one of those pop toys you put on the table and press it and it jumps- HES ADORABLE THO!!!! Also I didn’t use black in the eyes I used white if you were wondering lol
So it took me 3 (or more) tries and here’s why 1. I somehow messed up the yellow and had extra beads so I had to basically restart 2. It was way too loose when so got to the red, I think my string was too thin and slippery, so I restarted and switched to yarn 3. Now using yarn, I decided to make my new one with the Bi colors, i’m like halfway done now. i’ll edit and let you know how it turns out. edit: I successfully made an octopus, however, I managed to mess up the colors, so it goes pink-blue-purple instead of pink-purple-blue, but it’s still cute Thanks for the tutorial!!! Any name ideas?
I love makeing kandi things but I mostly give them Away so I can't really keep a collection but lot of the gifts I have made people don't really like it but this one my parents and friends love thank you!
I saw a completed octopus on Pinterest and made my way here from it, this was very easy to understand. I’ve never made anything Kandi before but I’m excited to try this out once I have the beads! Edit: went out and bought beads specifically for this. It came out a little derpy but I’m thrilled with my little guy
@@morimakes4714 if you could, could you try to keep the project in the frame so that it’s easier to observe? I found it was really hard to understand when you didn’t have it in the frame.
Oh definitely! I have a really strange set up and couldnt see the viewfinder when I was recording haha. Thats something that will definitely be fixed as of my next one ❤
First ever 3d Kandi! 4th ever project. Started making kandi last night Update one: 0:31 What is a square knot? How do you make that? I looked it up. I messed up. I DID IT YAYYY update two: 1:17 I have never done this and the instructions arent detailed enough for my brain...what? Update 3: I messed it up it looks terrible update 4: Ididsomething... not correctly but its something 5: 2:08 mine is flat i dont understand 2:21 THERE ISNT A NEXT LEVEL! THERE IS NO STICKY OUT BEAD I give up
I was doing this and all off everything was wrong I think I did it wrong do you think you can make another video doing everything step by step I just really want an octopus and this is so confusing for me
I can’t understand how to do the top, could u possibly do another video with colours that are easier to see then red and orange (they clash and I have vision issues)
Hi!! I know it's been a year since you released this but I still want to thank you for this tutorial!! This is my first 3D craft from pony beads and it's so fun, and the octopus turned out so cute :)) your tutorial was rlly easy to follow and now lots of people have cute little octopi, so thanks again :DD
Mine looked a lil different but I couldnt follow this exactly, still cute! Code for myself Green= clear Yellow= pink Orange=orange Red= green Blue= peach Purple= clear
i have a question! what do you use to record your tutorials? do you have a tripod or is it just something at hope you use? i was also wondering how you make your thumbnails because they're pretty awesome :D
Hiya! I built a contraption to do my recording, a tripod doesnt really work for overhead shots sadly. And my thumbnails I use a website called Canva! Everything I use on it is free too, you dont need to pay for their premium!
I counted all my beads and I had all the right amount of breads but I’m only on step 3 and I need more then you said and it’s also super confusing there is also a 2 bead gap that I can’t get rid of and I don’t know what you are doing or how your doing it???
