Hey Rodney, Kandi didn’t lose weight because doctors are telling patients lies that you can eat what you want to eat on Ozempic and it’s not true. Normani is coming off a hiatus of taking care of both of both parents suffering from cancer, and I don’t think she has the heart to do music anymore.

@@1991Meka what I’m saying is that’s NOT necessarily what it’s supposed to do. It’s supposed help you produce more insulin and lower the amount of glucose, or sugar your liver produces. The side effect of some of those things CAN result in weight loss.
If you have an intact insulin response loop it may not have an effect. It just means she's normal lol. Alot of people who are overweight to obese in the US by BMI are pre-diabetic!!

Outside of health problems, the real issue is people having unhealthy relationships with food. Eating disorders aren't reserved for people who starve themselves or purge after meals. When you CONSTANTLY over eat e… That's an eating disorder as well. Moderation is key. I have to remind my husband sometimes that YOU DONT HAVE TO FINISH YOUR PLATE! You can stop eating when you're full. But some people do not have that kind of control. If there's food there, they're going to eat whether they're hungry or not.
I don't think the Normani album HAS to stay a flop. If she came out with a really spectacular buzzy video for Big Boy, Still, or Candy Paint (those have the best single potential imo), she can rebound. It wouldn't be the first time an album was released with little fanfare and then blew up later on.

I feel like RCA is HORRIBLE! Everybody there has an experience similar to Normani’s, unless they’re a mega superstar, and their star power automatically sells albums. In 2012, when Brandy put out Two Eleven, they botched everything. Brandy was 33 at the time. Yes, I understand that that’s old for a black R&B female artist, but it was young enough, if everything was done correctly. I also understand that Brandy hadn’t had a successful album or single in while. I know she wouldn’t have been able to do pop star numbers, but she should have at least been able to have a successful album, with a Grammy nomination, or something. Two Eleven sounded like Brandy’s version of everything that was hot on the radio, at the time. She had to collab with Chris Brown, she worked with the producers that everyone else was working with, she had risqué songs, uptempo songs, at that time, her hair, wardrobe, and everything was on point, and she had improved her stage performances. My point is, all of this should have been enough not to flop, but it wasn’t. Brandy fought for certain singles to be released that they refused to release. Brandy and the fans agreed on what needed to happen, but the label wouldn’t listen. Then, when the single they spent the money on, flopped, they blamed it on her, wouldn’t give her any more money to release any more singles, called her a “washed up has been”, and made it difficult for her to leave the label. Idc what anyone says, that album was just as good as every R&B album that was released that year.

I think Normani and Chlöe need to switch music styles. Normani needs to go back to pop, and Chlöe needs to do R&B/ballads. However, I also don't want to box black musicians into boxes. I just hope they can understand their audience more and their hone their craft.

Normani didn't have it easy. I remembered seeing her for the first time auditioning for Simon's Show, Ex Factory for a solo singing job. She didn't make it. Neither did a few other girls, but Simon like them, so he had them go off stage and work on a song as a group and that's were Fifth Harmony was formed that night. I was not impressed by her when I first saw her, except I thought she was pretty, but I didn't think she had presence on stage. However, with a good Publicist she could do a lil sum sum! Normani could've really done it, if 1. The music was good enough on its own to the point where the visuals didn't become necessary to further the song. 2. If she stayed in tune with her fans and was clear on release dates. Kandi's doctor should have recommended the alternatives to Ozempic like Mounjaro. There’s another one that acts like Ozempic but I can't remember the name but I'm surprised her doctor didn't advise her. If she has diabetes, Ozempic doesn't give the weight loss results that others see.

I feel like the reason Normani is not thriving is because she is not making music for her age demographic. The song on Dopamine have some good bops but it felt so unauthentic. Due to Normani being older I was expecting this album to give grown woman rnb vibes but it felt like something the young rap girls who are in their early 20s would put out. She needs to link up with Jazmine Sullivan writers and get something cooking.

Motivation was a complete bop, I was surprised that Wild Side was on the album and Motivation wasn’t. I was doubly surprised when she had zero new videos out. My final surprise was that she lacked the features her star power could’ve gotten but still was able to get Brandy on the album, didn’t list her in the track list, and only used her as a background vocalist... At this point, she’s beautiful, talented and is dating an NFL player. She can model, jump on features and capitalize on her social standing to keep her afloat. That may have to be enough until she’s clear about what her goals are and focuses on them.
I think the problem with Normani aside from her not getting a lot of support from her label is that she doesn’t have the big personality that’s required these days to maintain an online audience. A lot of girls who are big now are very active online and do what they need to to go viral/stay in the blogs. Maybe that’s why Normani is like this ain’t for me, let me step back and be more of an influencer/socialite like you said. Wildside was a heavily insoired aaliyah track that shouldve just been an album track, the album overall is good but there is nothing oersonal on the album. This album does give texas young singer vibes who sexually active and whats to talk her ish. Sounds like early 2000s rnb with heavy aaliyah and brandy influences.

The lyrics lack depth or insight, the music is generic, and even her voice seems lifeless/monotone. I think dancing and performing is more of her passion. It’s like she just wants to be famous and isn’t an actual musician. It’s hard to get into her music because of this.
Normani lost her Motivation 👀 (released August 2019) too early in her career. Wild Side was released July 2021 (not 2001😮) - that was the momentum she needed. I LOVED THAT SONG & VIDEO!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥There had been too much of a gap the 1st time... Her team should have done a LOT MORE to keep her on track and focused - even with her Parents' illnesses. You're right. It makes you so nauseous and full if you over eat that you have to lay down and take a moment to recover. So, she must have given up at a low dose, bc there's no way she still ate like that at a high dose.

Motivation is a very meh and forgettable song. The only lyric I can remember is "motivation," and then I start singing beyonce's Check On It. Which brings me to my point, Naomi's problem is that she doesn't have her lane. Trying to be a lesser than version of beyonce while beyonce is still beyonce was/is her fatal mistake.
