They are good friends. Their pay is high so no show can afford both of them together. Jae Sok tried to bring Hodong to Running Man because that was the only show capable of paying them both but it also meant firing other members to compensate for Hodong's fee. Jaesok picked Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo but it created controversy since the fans really liked them in Season 1 so it never happened. But this shows that both of them are still good friends and would love to work together. They do talk about camps since each has groomed talents underneath them but it's all just for show.

When the other is mentioned they seem like they still respect the other really well, and Knowing Brothers actually had a gag back in 2016 that Jaes Suk was "the god of variety shows" looking over them and they'd pray to him and thank him whenever they did their gags successfully. Some people just lowkey want beef between the two. Mosty the younger members in KB actually tease Ho Dong about Jae Suk "replacing"him as SK's national MC, particularly Kim Heechul, Min Kyunghoon, and Lee Soogeun. He does gags when teased, of course, but when he answers seriously you can see that he respects Jae Suk. But some just had create negative theories and rumors, add that to the fact that both are asked about the other constantly throughout their careers, and many fans keep arguing about who's better. *Edit:* From what I hear it's mostly because the two are the top MCs and that not many top MCs host shows together firstly because of the budget each agency has, and that Top MCs host shows with MCs not as popular as them to give new MCs a chance at being recognised by the general public.
Kang Hodong started in the early 90s and got famous very soon since he was a national champion in two weight divisions for Korean Traditional Wrestling and he was doing shows with National MCs of that time, most notably Lee Kyung Kyu who is known as the Godfather of variety shows. On the other hand, Jaesuk was a late bloomer who struggled for a long time and even worked as an extra for comedy skits before he got anything meaningful. But they became the face of Korean Variety in the 2000s and household names and the two worked together. They were and still are good friends outside of the TV stations but now they are too costly to be put together in a show which is why we don't see them together. Once Jaesuk tried to cast Kodong for Running Men because it was one of the most popular shows in Korea as well as overseas and probably had the budget to cast both of them together. Things were finalised but it led to controversy because a few permanent members were going to be sacrificed in the process and the whole process got bad press. No one blames Jaesuk for it because he's untouchable but the dream to have them both together failed with it.
