For this performance a male singer takes two different roles with his incredible voice. I think not many singers can perform like him. Kang Hung-Ho had NO FORMAL VOCAL TRAINING up to the point of joining this competition. A part time Rock singer, who worked in Chemical Research. He did his original version of this in the early stages of the competition BEFORE he and Ko WooRim ever sang together. Yes, his ability to change voices between the Phantom and Christina is like Marcelito Pomoy when he sings two vocals in one performance.
He was a full-time research chemist in Samsung BP chemical and the company was sold to Lotte. After the company becoming under Lotte he could use his day-off more freely than under Samsung. So he could participate in the Phantom Singer 2 audition and blew away with this song but the musical version. Since that he has been called as Chri (from Christine) among his fans.
@@gogglebox2427 This Phantom of the Opera shows how he got improved from that first audition performance. His head voice falsetto is even more beautiful than female soprano and the quick transition from rock growling to soprano voice is his critical killer technique IMO.

Kang has no formal music training and worked as a chemical engineer. He also played in a rock band. This was done during the Phantom Singer 2 contest and he was not 100% ( had a cold) when he did this. It was one of the solos he did during the contest
