Ant-Man 3 Quantumania just gave us a new trailer and what better way to celebrate the arrival of Kang The Conqueror in the MCU than to cover Kang’s New Origin Story. The Time Traveler known as Kang the Conqueror has led many lives across many eras. He has been a Pharaoh, a Villain, a Warlord of the Spaceways - and even, on rare occasions, a Hero. Across all timelines, one fact seemed absolute: time means nothing to Kang. But the truth about the Conqueror is much more complex! Kang is caught in an endless cycle of creation and destruction, dictated by time and previously unseen by any but the Conqueror himself. A cycle that, once revealed, could finally explain the enigma that is Kang. And a cycle that begins and ends with an old and broken Kang sending his younger self down a dark path…
▸ Who Is Kang? Kang the Conqueror, also known as Immortus, Rama Tut or Iron Lad is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character is most frequently depicted as an opponent of the Avengers and the Fantastic Four. Rob's videos are so soothing I've been listening to him for I guess five or six years now and if I just don't feel like listening to anything or watching TV I click on one of these even if I've heard it before and it just makes me feel better. It's not just his voice, but his excitement, it allows me to be immersed in the story he's telling and that is another part, the way he tells the story. Thanks Rob.

That was absolutely brilliant. These are the stories I find to be truly compelling. Yes, the whole hero triumphs over the villain trope is cool. But a story set in that universe and is so intimately personal that you really relate to a character is what makes something seriously special.

Okay, so I think Kang just became one of my favorite Marvel villains now. Such a interesting and complicated origin story that actually makes a lot sense. Knowing his new origin now make the lines on his face seems more symbolic as if they were his tears from his failures trying to actualize his deep desire.

I especially like the frisson, the cognitive dissonance between old Kang demanding he "wipe that pathetic paint off your face" as he seems to still wear it himself, since it seems to have become a constant characteristic of the way that that version of Kang is always depicted. Hate and bitterness can make you incredibly un-self-aware.

Started being curious about Kang after watching Quantumania & seeing Jonathan Major’s brilliant performance. And it led me to this video and wow. I’m so excited to see where his portrayal goes now in the MCU. But even bigger, Kang’s story is now one of my favorites in the Marvel comic world. Such an awesome character

Thank you for sharing this nonlinear story. Was trying to understand Kang, Rama-tut, Immortus, Ironlad, that are all one character or person. Decent story and found it very similar to other stories of understanding one self. With all you have experience, learn, seen, study, and understanding, then the conclusion is that you can only control what you control.

Can we just take a moment to acknowledge the significance & importance of Rob's beginning explanation of this video. Ladies & gentlemen I'm not sure if you know this, but you just witnessed one of the greatest explanations in the history of the comic book industry! The young Kang in this comic was iron lad. Adult Kang went back right to the moment the bully was about to slit his throat, displaced him and he became iron lad, then eventually adult Kang got iron lad back to the point his throat was slit and wiped his memory of having been iron lad and allowed the bully to slit his throat. This young Kang is after the recovery from that injury.

The way that Nathaniel Richards and Revonna were in Rama-Tut's ship, and he had a bunch of ladies around him, I liked that, because it reminded me of Maestro Hulk, and that is one of the things that I LOVE about Maestro Hulk's empire, because it is different from all of the thrones and statues of the ruler, and the great army and things like that, Maestro Hulk's empire actually does go into what he does behind the scenes, like it's not like Darkseid or Dr. Doom, or other rulers like that who you just see on a throne and commanding armies, and doing nothing else.

I've never understood why it's a big thing of determining whether or not Nathaniel Richards was descended from Reed Richards, or Dr. Victor von Doom. He can literally be descended from both. That's kind of how families work over time.

I mean when MCU Dr. Strange realized in every reality of the Multiverse he can't ever have Christine, he just dealt with it. Kang couldn't get Ravonna, so he chose to become an incel, but actually managed to take over the universe at every moment of time. Then he still realizes he can't have Ravonna, and when he trains his younger self, he is so bitter that he kills Nathaniel Richards' Ravonna? He's truly both the conquereor of time and slave to time itself. And truly, the greatest adversary of Kang's story is his own true nature. None of it would've happened if he had never aspired for anything more than the perfect peace he had in the future. And he definitely could temporarily stop the cycle by just killing himself.

With the Roche Limit it is the smaller body that gets ripped apart as the gravitational forces that are holding it together are overwhelmed by the tidal forces exerted by the larger body. And for this to happen the smaller body has to be orbiting the larger. If a moon was heading directly to the Earth the tidal forces wouldn't get a chance to break it apart before the collision.

Rob I know I cannot say what I ate at that point in time but there is a real condition that a very small amount of people have that they can literally pull any memory of any day in there life. I think this can be developed by taking the time every morning, throughout the day, and at night, looking at the date and reflecting on its meaning in relation to the events of the day. Maybe Journaling before bed and reading it over the next day and a week later. The memories aren't gone they are just lost because the mind isn't organized. The information in your mind must be able to interact and derive meaning from its relation to everything else you have or ever will experience. Once you can recall everyday in relation to its place in time you can extract more and more meaning from every moment, especially the present.

You could destroy an ultra powerful time traveler by collecting the space and time stones from every universe that he’s been to, taking them to the nexus of worlds and opening portals to every universe connecting the stones to their native universes, and then simply wish for the person to be destroyed in all places throughout all time. Though that makes me wonder what would happen if you collected the stones from every universe and mashed them all together into single stones. So each stone is made up of every version of the stones ever.

January 26th was my birthday and I believe also Kobe and those people died as well. I came home early from work (McDonald's) talk to my brother who's in Arizona and that's when he told me what happened. After I got off the phone with him COVID-19 hit me. The sickness just activated strong and I was out of it. I couldn't eat, smoke bud or anything. That 1st night of sleep was rough too. Sweat out a lot horribly. I honestly can't remember what I ate but I remember the day clear still. I guess before I got home u can say I are at work so either a McChicken or Mac with no sauce lol. I don't eat McDonald's no more 🤣
