He attacked because the guy was standing tall and walked up to him, encroached his space. This is a threatening pose to the kangaroo, he turned around and the guy was there tall as can be, that is like challenging the kangaroo. That's why it stood up as tall as it could and took a defensive pose ready to kick. Notice the others that are close to the roos are crouching down to be at their level. It's the same with dogs if you meet a strange dog never come from above to pet it, it does depend on the breed but you should really crouch down to show you're not a threat.
Very foolish Tourist, it is a very annoyed Kangaroo. Don’t stick a camera in its face, walk away... quickly, before you are picking your guts off the ground.
Masked Saiyan, lol Kangaroos are a bit possessive at times. Better to just walk away... quickly, unless of course it is a large buck, then run... And they don’t let you shoot anything in Parks
This kind of behaviour is really dangerous. Believe me, i studied kangaroology since 2012 and this roo's body language indicates a sort of intimate mating call and spaghetti meatballs are really good you should try em but dont feed the dog worms he just doesnt like it because winter's coming and please dont forget to bring the car keys with you
1657890 9th yes & it can kill you, it would not be a pleasant death. No there are not many deaths from roos, but there have been a few and some nasty injuries. Ruptured leg muscles, ruptured spleen, ruptured stomach and intestines. Lots of deep tear wounds. Many dead dogs.... roos are not an animal to intimidate. If there is an aggressive one leave!
It always surprises me how people seem unaware of what animals are clearly telling them. It’s pretty simple; you just have to have an open mind and pay attention.
I’ve been threatened by a big red, who was an albino and he stood as tall as me. Scared me silly because there was no doubt he could done some harm with those massive legs. They are NOT cute close up.
i wouldn't mess with one having seen videos of them unfortunately attacking their own reflection in plate glass windows. They're muscular and those claws. i think baby wallabies are cute. i feel like wallabies are less intimidating generally.
@@Superman8137 Well, It's apparent to me that these are Grey Kangaroos as they're very common and I've seen thousands over the years, so I have no doubt about what they are. While Wallabies are basically small Kangaroos, they're built differently, they're a much more compact, stockier animal, so you wouldn't confuse a young Kangaroo with a Wallaby once you've seen both in the flesh. Everything about a Wallaby is shorter and fatter, legs, neck, tail and the body, all but the head really. Watching a video showing both would make it obvious. For this video though, Wallabies just aren't as tall or as lean as these Roos.
It's completely find to walk up to grey kangaroos that live near people, they are used to people, and are rarely aggressive. I used to go camping all the time and grey kangaroos would always hang around the camp sites and you could go up to them and even pet them. It's only really the wild red kangaroos you need to be careful of.
I'm sure most of them know what a roo is capable of but even then I don't see all the drama. Even dogs are capable of destroying hands/limbs even when owners claim they're harmless. The photographer kept its stance and didn't "provoke" him and that's all it matters.
This small Kangaroo wasn't really capable of shit against an adult human, especially grey Kangaroos, they aren't dangerous at all. It's the red kangarros you have to watch for.
Theshortguy84 at that size yes, all the roo needs is a good sharp claw, an exposed thigh where a major blood vessel is and bamb; you bleed out like a stuck pig. Mind you at that runt's size, it could do more damage to a toddler given the chance. Never under estimate small creatures, they have a lot more fight in them than what you think.
Kangaroo's often interperate a Human standing upright near it as a challenge, which is why people who are squatting down(like the Kangaroos are) don't get attacked. When Kangaroo's fight or spar, they stand upright as straight as they can, which they mistake the average Human posture as. I wish places that let Humans interact with Kangaroos did a better job of educating guests on Kangaroo behaviour as well as what they are physically capable of. A Kangaroo can actually do some serious damage to a Person, from tearing skin and flesh with their claws(which are sharp enough to disembowel btw) to breaking bones and rupturing organs with repeated kicks. An aggressive kangaroo is no joke.
He got attacked cause he does a weird bob motion upwards when he gets up from taking his picture. The bob motion and his awkward hand placement makes him look like a kangaroo looking to square up. Don’t jump up and bob up, with your hands balled up in a fighting stance
Yup he/she squared up to the kangoorou. Anyone who's keen on body language or critical of little things would have seen it. He seems like a rough around the edges kinda guy or gal so he/she got lucky this was a tiny roo.
Yup it was a lil one but still can make a good mess of you... when I was a young fella we used to stalk the mobs near our work camp just to see how close we could get. We got very close at times, my friend was 6’4” we were next to a bush and one stood up on other side it looked my mate in the eye... we went one way Roo went other, both at speed! Don’t know who got the bigger fright!
That tourist didn't even have the basic smarts to do something a little different after the attack. No separation, no change of body language, no aversion of his eyes, just stand and risk it. Guess you could say he wasn't scared but still a disrespectful idiot.
I’d go for a camel clutch or a sleeper hold on a kangaroo if if kicked me. Is it illegal to give one a stone cold stunner? Asking for a friend named Steve.
