Best thing about this is that in Arena's gag ending for Kanji, Naoto and him didn't even needed illusion. They just understood each other without "any problems"
There is an illusion still. Kanji just doesn't notice because he's not too observant, and also Naoto in his side of the conversation isn't acting unusual. It's General Teddie that has to tell Kanji to fight by basically making fun of him for getting nervous around his crush. While on Naoto's side of the conversation, she sees Kanji acting way more calm and confident than he usually is around her, so she can tell something's off. But at the end, Naoto realizes it was an illusion and tells him so.
As someone who picked the romance option for Naoto, everyone shipping these 2 feels weird as I think Yu is just a… better match. Also she’s really f***ing ho-
I just watched the whole video and all I saw was Kanji and Naoto having communication issues and struggling to understand each other. She even outright says they aren't on the same wavelength at 1:29. I don't know how this would work for Naoto long term, even if it makes Kanji happy short term. Gotta have maxed out courage and intelligence, like Yu. Plus, Nanoko needs a detective big sis.
They are so fucking cute I just love that gag ending so much because you can hear how happy Naoto is to just call him Kanji after he asked (in japan that is a sign of incredible closness like super close) I just like seeing Naoto get butterflies and act nervous for once just to see that Kanji's love isnt one sided
I love this 2,The akwardness between these two."Kanji-kun,you're acting awfully peculiar. You're very flushed,too..do you have a fever? " i can tell kanji starts to have a cold sweat.
I just watched the whole video and a lot of it was Kanji and Naoto having communication issues and struggling to understand each other. Plus, Nanoko needs a detective big sis more than Kanji needs a crush.
@jeku4572 Nah, not in real life. Real relationships are the other way around. People don't care if they communicate well in short term flings. But long term? If you can't communicate in the relationship? It's doomed. Lack of communication is a high percentage failure point for marriages.
@@AZ-ge1bz Right, well I'm not talking about real life. But speaking of real life, a unreciprocated love at first doesn't always spell doom. I mean a good relationship doesn't always need both A and B to like each other right away. In this case. A is aleady in love and B not showing any signs of romantic interest yet isn't a bad thing. Its a slow blossoming romance.
@jeku4572 Not at all, I agree.. in the short term. But circle back around to my original point and my emphasis on communication and long term. What's good in the short term for one person, might not be best in the long term for the other. You can't emphasize a relationship and ignore communication, otherwise it might as well just be a fling.
They're also literally teenagers. They can learn communication skills over time, and they both learn a lot about accepting themselves and being more comfortable in their own skin throughout the game. I think they can pick up what they're lacking in.
