You gotta hand it to Okubo, being able to damage a fresh Agito and force him to use Formless is quite an achievement for a fighter.

Okubo is my favorite in this fight, even with loss. His orthodox training and being master of basics in MMA highlights great strength and goal this character has.

What I love about this fight is that Okubo is fighting a stronger version of himself. The majority of kengan fighters either have some sort of ancient fighting style, superhuman power, or fictional techniques. Okubo is just a normal human (albeit with two decades of fighting) who has mastered the basics of combat. He's a jack-of-all-trades in striking, throwing, grappling, and wrestling. If his opponent tries to outstrike him, he'll switch to grappling. If his opponent tries to grapple him, he'll switch to wrestling. It's simple yet effective that allowed him to become a heavyweight MMA champion. Unfortunately, Kanoh does that but on a better level. Kanoh is already inhumanly strong but his "fighting style" allows him to create a style to defeat his opponent. Once Kanoh let Okubo hit him with all his moves, Kanoh instantly knew the moves to out-MMA Okubo.

Considering this shows modern you reckon some of these fighters added eachother on Facebook after and dmd them like "BRO HOW'D YOU DO THAT MOVE"

Even before you factor in the Fang's insane tactical combat sense, he's a 6'8" 280lb guy in insane shape. 99.9% of the people on this planet would fall to that alone, even if all he knew was some basic Tae Kwon Do or high school wrestling.

This was one of the fights where you instantly knew who the winner was going to be. I can't imagine having to fight a fresh Fang.

Agito is so awesome , no matter what his opponent is using he's gonna meet them using their own style and try to beat them , also he doesn't go for cheap shot like eyes poking or run his mouth , he's my favorite fighter of the series , if you didn't see his second fight against the thai god you should go watch it , it's incredible !!!

You know when the audience goes dead silent that your opponent isn't just a legend. But somebody not to be messed with. Fangs reputation is definitely earned. Why kill your opponent when you can destroy their spirit.

People fail to realize that the way fang ended Kaolang was because of this match but he did it differently. At the moment he throws a right at 6:51, Okubo goes low which took him off guard then proceeds to throw him. So fang really does evolve from each match.

Spoiler between a fight with Okubo and a certain fighter in Kengan omega as well as Agito fighting a newer fighter (the sequel manga to Kengan Ashura): It’s crazy to me how Sekibiyashi beat Okubo as a promise to Koga. Felt forced but still shocking. Shows fighting can go either way. Even Agito’s second loss to the judoka was crazyyyy.
