Chad it is such a joy to watch these videos. Where I live record stores are about as enthusiastic about records as they would be about selling lettuce. I worked in a hi-fi shop in 1980 I remember mo-fi records wish I had bought them all.

Expect to pay 3-4 x the going rate for used vinyl on Acoustic Sounds. Ridiculous prices on them

I don't know about that, you have to research every record individually for example a sealed copy of a dcc aqualung they have on acoustic sounds for 250 dollars and if you look up what the going rate on ebay people are asking 300 dollars for a sealed copy.

@@robertb5640 True...I did not check every one...the ones that I checked that I have in my collection have a crazy mark ups over what I paid on Discogs, ebay or my brick and mortar...and most of them were not that long ago. You can't look at the lot as say these are value prices...or even comparable to Discogs. I also don't have a problem with it. If someone is willing to pay it...then fine.

Funny thing is that since these re-issues started popping up, a lot of late 50’s-early 60’s jazz has come back in the used bins, be they early pressings or earlier reissues. Here in Toronto I have scored a good half dozen titles which were MIA for decades in terrific shape and not outrageously priced. That said, I bought a few Acoustic Sound and Craft Tone Poet re-issues which are excellent. If it’s getting people into the shops, all good. As usual, it’s about being judicious.

Interesting that we all love Mobile Fidelity today but only a year or two ago, they were “exposed” for using a digital step and that was absolutely abhorrent. Ultimately, if it sounds good to you, love your passion no matter the company.

The original Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab started in 1977 and lasted until 1999. Music Direct bought and owns the current MoFi. What we were mostly selling was the original MFSL records that were mastered from the original analog master tapes and pressed at JVC in Japan. Then later the Anadisc were pressed at Mobile Fidelity's own pressing plant in California. They're almost 2 different companies.

Hello I order two items, and I told your team to hold my orders to send them together ,but they didn’t take into account of it and they even send them separately so 2x56 dollars of shipping …I m not glad with that…shipping is vey expensive ,so they could at least sent the two together…I Don t understand……it s not nice …very deceived
