Maybe Cal thinks more bc sometimes rob might be a bad thing in defense only sometimes, I really said him coming off the bench would be good bc it gives Kentucky a boost. But overall for Rob to get drafted I believe he would need to start. Coach Cal might start him we don't know.

Rob is a flat out bucket and I love him, but he’s horrible in pick and roll defence, had 4+ threes made on him in that coverage. In my opinion Coach Cal won’t start him until he can trust him defensively.

That means fewer three pointers, much slower in transition, and weaker on defense in some respects. @@Muskogee Rob played only 16 mins and gave Kentucky 18 points on 50% from the felid and 80% from the 3(only missing one) 100% ft shooting. In 26 mins Wagner went 1-12 from the field … 0-3 from 3 and shot 50% ft. Rob also had the same rebounds and more assists in that time. He’s averaging 16.8 ( nearly 17) 4 and 4 OFF THE BENCH with half the minutes, to Wagner’s 8-2-2. This shouldn’t even be a conversation, as of now he’s the better guard there’s no way to spin it differently, the only complaint is he should be closing out harder. That’s it.

I don’t understand the emphasis on defense of doing this and leaving yourself so vulnerable on the perimeter. What’s the strategy behind this? I feel like I’ve seen this in the NBA as well where teams will I necessarily double and risk wide open shooters.
