Kanwar earned his Juris Doctor degree from Queen’s University where he was the recipient of the Queen’s Law Prize in Legal Skills for demonstrating excellence in written and oral advocacy. During law school, he engaged in various access to justice and advocacy initiatives. He was an executive committee member of the Queen’s Law Refugee Support Program, earning the Queen’s Law Professional Excellence Award, and he completed a placement working closely with the Justices of the Kingston Family Court.
