He basically did he said and I quote I invented every style of music within the past 20 years obviously he ain't talking about genre but styles them is his words and if Boosie came more respectful and didn't come after everyone all the time nobody would have said shit to Boosie
@@jailaun2102he has a style of music? Who listens to him. He thinks he’s like that and he’s not. No one copies him bc he has his own SOUND. No one copies drakes SOUND. Bc it would be biting. I dont think he gets what Kanye means lmao. Every artist has their own flair. Their signature sound.
@@misanthr0pic it has nothing to do with thinking he's like that nigga if u created something yourself within an industry and a nigga said he made it and he didn't u wouldn't feel some type of way especially since he didnt create the sound he's talking about niggas lie cudi and tpain did in terms of the auto tune stuff yes without Kanye we might not get cudi or Travis cause Travis was inspired by cudi and cudi was inspired and helped as well by Kanye you reading it wrong and drake done been accused of copying niggas flows and evidence to at least say he did it instead of just saying he did if it was anyone else other than boosie and they came respectful u wouldn't say that and if u did its only cause kanye bigger the first thing i seen people bring up is kanye bigger than boosie like you aint never heard someone bigger take a idea, product or song now Kanye's made a song in all the styles but he didn't invent them
@@misanthr0pic it has nothing do with wether he's like that or not Kanye said out his own mouth about every style and the styles hes talking about he didnt create if u made a shirt design with a dragon should i not give u credit just because theres a million dragon designs no its your design Kanye should have said I helped creates these specific styles and drake has been accused of biting and unlike other people people can show proof yes cudi was inspired by kanye and travis but cudi and without kanye it might not be a cudi or travis but its not guaranteed on top of that he mentioned autotune like he made that sound like tpain and the voicebox dont exist tpain was in the studio helping kanye do you think 808s and heartbreaks would sound the same and the only reason boosie catching slack is because hes always in controversy boosie is a legend he's just not as popular as Kanye or everyone else doesnt make him any less if kanye had said he just created Travis and cudi boosie wouldn't have said shit
Currently in Baton Rouge. Been here all my life and I never messed with his music but Wipe me Down is an exception. I was bumping College Dropout and PAC.
I’m from (318) Ratchet City, Louisiana. BOOSIE is from (Baton Rouge, Louisiana.) Yeah’ he’s only popular thru out The South, and West-Coast. BOOSIE came out when We was Clubbing, and I’m (41) but I never just played His Music like that. He was sounding like a Spinoff of (HotBoy-TURK) he couldn’t transfer over to Hollywood like KANYE. I did buy (1) of His albums tho …it was only for Car Sound Systems & Clubs. 🤣💯
😂😂😂😂 I'm from New Orleans, and they do not play Boosie in these clubs. If he does an appearance, they will, but nah, boosie ain't on the mix.... however, Kanye ain't either, but he not from here, so it's just sad for boosie 🤷🏾♀️ Now Baton Rouge might but nobody really goes there.
@hazybeatz1327 I'm speaking facts, we don't listen to boosie, and nothing is in Br besides LSU 🤷🏾♀️... oh and the mall of Louisiana and since the stores cater to how yall dress we don't go there either 🤣🤣🤣
@@seikoellis17ur right most of em do.. i mean nyc just steals others people style n make it they own.. but who doesnt do that nowadays cuz nothing is original just tweaked
Indiana loves boosie I never particularly listened to it as a child but he’s very active in coming out here when other artists tend to do bigger shows in the surrounding states/cities like Illinois with Chicago or Michigan to Detroit.
Im from Louisiana and in my area while boosie was big Z-RO was the majority in people's cars. You couldn't go anywhere without hearing some Ro banging in people's trunks. Now its YB is all i hear
Wayne? Andre 3000? Boosie is a nobody. My mom can name 20 rappers from the south before she'd EVER get to Boosie. And she ain't got no idea who he is so she'd never get there lol
boosie went thru a lot its a blessing we still have him here with us , usually people end up life in prison or dead I salute boosie hands down one of the best in the game just overlooked because he took a certain route
Lol Philly suburbs here and I didn't hear of boosie till I went to jail in 2015 but everyone in there loved em hahaha so ye and boosie are both correct
2006 to 2010 was very active years of boosie's music, when the prision stuff happen the artistry wasnt so present and raw ear candy like it was, nowadays the interviews are good im still sure he can make good songs havent heard in a while, im from lousiana in highschool in 2007 2008 obama time, in lousiana and south he was in the cultures ears in mp3 players and talks about his music, that myspace early youtube era. kanye had a lot of active years i respect both, kayne had a deep study in the music you can tell with the sound both are good for the culture, good conversation around it though its like a contrast because in rap history never heard much conversation with the two interacting.
I'm from Miami born and raised and I can tell you no one in the hood was bumping Boosie at all. I never ever heard only when I went to the club. But it was the party songs. But the hood songs never! No one ever ever mentioned his name! No one really cares about him or his music in Miami in the hood or South beach.
Boosie is a legend where I’m from. You couldn’t ride through BR at one time without hearing somewhere He didn’t mess with ppl that burned his CD’s back in the day and it paid off big time
I usually don’t comment but since you asked someone’s perspective, who’s from South Louisiana, “we” love boosie he’s played in the club constantly he’s played at gatherings constantly. He’s always had a hold on Louisiana. Even today But tbh it’s most of his older music that’s still gettin played. most people don’t even rock with Kanye beside his huge hits most people in my area don’t listen to him.
Im from Louisiana, and i would definitely say Boosie is looked at as a top tier artist down here. Especially in Baton Rouge. I was never really a fan of his music but going to events and clubs down south you will definitely hear his music being played a hand full of times. Its like mandatory especially at a black BBQ 😂
Ngl i didnt know who boosie was until he'd randomly post some crazy opinions on twitter or ig a few years ago. Also, as someone whos lived in the hood and is black, f**k the hood. Idk why a lot of black artists immediately bring up that argument when going up against a bigger artist. If that's where you want to stay at, fine. But lets not act like "the streets like me 😊😊" is a good argument when the same streets will drop you immediately. See meek mill.
My question is why does the hood seem to play a pivotal part of a artist's career? Kanye's origin is that he was your average Joe, who blew by being true to himself. I didn't even know who boosie was until he was viral for something.
Boosie got as big as he did because a lot of his music was promoted for free country wide. It wasn't long after hurricane Katrina, that people began moving all over the place, taking Boosie with them
I’m from Michigan And it’s a selective group of people out here that f/ wit Boosie but we also have people from NO who moved up here after Katrina hit So I think those people put them on to Boosie’s music Also “Gimme That” by Webbie was hella popular when I was in HS
Im from Alabama. I remember the conversation being in school who was better Wayne or Boosie? Id always say Wayne could rap better but Boosie I could feel. I saw people like Boosie everyday. If course I fucked with Wayne but there was something about Boosie that made you feel him🤷♂️. That 05-09 Boosie was 🔥🔥🔥
5:48 Boosie has an interview where he brags on a teen taking the fall for a murder he did. Kid got life and Boosie out here grinning about it on interviews. I have absolutely no respect for that man.
@YoungPhenix that's who boosie was referring to , I was raised deep south and he wasn't capping. You might here his songs in big clubs but in them street niggas ain't playing ye
Boosie Weak Sauce- A eastcoast dude who grew up on 3-6 Mafia, Original Cash Money, Jeezy/Gucci, Bun B, Paul Wall, and newer south artist like Migos and Dolph. I listen to everything in the south EXCEPT Boosie.
Gucci was known to hip hop fans in Norway, bro. Dead wrong there. And Gates is dope AF. He's locked in with his last owed album. You are way off cept Boosies relevance 😂 Gates been dope. Gucci was played on mainstream radio early in his run. Lemonade, bad bad bad etc. Underground we fuxed with everything. My kitchen, Stupid wild, mr zone 6.
i aint hear nobody listenin to ye in da south / trenches , boosie fasho . ye is respected fasho but boosie still in rotation til dis day . i def listen to boosie more den ye . born / raised in SC
I like Gucci (from ATL), but a lot of his music just seems just seems thrown together. A lot of his stuff doesn’t seem coherent tbh. And he doesn’t have no where near a project like TM 101.
They're 2 diffrent sides/spectrums of rap music one just has more of a broader appeal like city/suburbs wheras the other relates heavily to the hoods/trenches of the South
I’m from Baton Rouge and I can easily say Boosie is a regionally concentrated artist. I grew up around people who were and weren’t raised from the streets and a lot of people from both groups do love him. Me personally with me being from the same city I’m not the biggest fan of the music / sound coming from here and it wasn’t until I got older that my opinion on that slightly started to change. And I can’t even say it’s bc ion like street rappers because I damn near like at-least one street rapper from every other city with a known rap scene. Like people used to look crazy at me when I say shit like this too. I keep up with the rap scene down here I just don’t listen to them heavy
That's crazy cuz I'm from New Orleans... right up the street...lol and we do not listen to boosie in no clubs🤷🏾♀️ and rarely you'll hear a BR nicca who came to visit bumping it but nah boosie don't get no play... he respected tho cuz he from Louisiana too.
Bro I’m from CT and Boosie is his own man. He makes lyrical music he makes good joints he has high energy songs but he has real ass songs. Like he’s got heart felt music he really does. Give him and Webbie a chance. They spit. The beats are different but give em a try. His new music is pretty good too. The two albums after he got released were really good full albums. Ye needs to stfu I love him too but dog..
I think it’s crazy that you said DABABY is better than boosie… if you not dying from sexually transmitted diseases that could kill you in two to three days raise your hand 🤣
