The weird thing to me is guys like k camp, curren$y, and krit still make hits. Songs that get millions of views and plays but it doesn’t make the charts
Yea its because the charts are about outselling all the artists in a particular week. You could sell a million in a week but if 100 other artists sold 2 or 3 million that week, they will chart higher.
Its crazy that vlad of all people says kanye needs the machine when vlad himself has been on a campaign against taraji p henson for complaining about pay and saying she should independently fund her own projects like vlad did with vladtv. Ye is doing exactly what vlad said taraji should do
DJ Vlad a while back had openly admitted during an interview with Lord Jamar that he doesn’t like Kanye on a personal level. Doesn’t surprise that he didn’t believe he’d be capable of making another number 1 hit.
Honestly two guys im happy are showing they can still do their thing despite the odds stacked against them , Kanye doing what he’s doing after the rants and antics & Gunna being able to drop music, get love in a new buzzing genre and still do shows that sell.
This channel is supposed to be on 2 million subscribers by now. The presentation is straight to the point, which is rare amongst Americans. Americans loooove to beat about the bush before making their point.
I think what also helped the song come back to #1 was him selling the vinyls/bundles on his yeezy website. Either way it was gonna hit #1 but thats what helped it after 5 weeks
Wow Ye was really making Chess moves by leaving Universal and going Indy… He has the money to absorb the costly tabs to push and market his music on his own. And it’s paying off in dividends for him and Ty Dolla. I will definitely be purchasing his Vultures 2 album to support Ye. More big tier artist need to do this to show these labels that your model is archaic and needs a new revision so that all producers, engineers, writers, artist and musicians get compensated properly with the threat of AI and ever changing streaming revenue.
Not a bad theory tbh, I like to think all the fuckery he encountered within the industry made him start really thinking about what his long term gameplan should be.
Your career is officially over when you hit the Madonna phase. The album debuts at #1 because all your fans bought it, then it drops off the entire chart in less than a month because no one else did.
Dj Vlad is Just Back pedaling honestly if so many artist still give him his props artist Who hit the 1 billboards hes one of them unpredictable Kanye is him. Dj vlad is one of those guys who disses his own and then says i never said that man Got Caught red handed😂😂
Ye is cool. I still like him better in the early days. The song is okay. The hook is catchy. His verse is nice. He could have done this track by himself.
When Joe Camel got rich and stopped taking his calls - Ye did what Ye does - remained relevant as hell...continued caring about music...stuck with those who stuck with him...and at the same time immersed himself in the youth...from TLOP on,
No need to take a shot at a artist who never cared about making music for charts. ‘They only disrespect Black Men. They only (try to) cancel Black Men.’ 🤔🤔🤔 Jack Harlow is weak as well. Tell him to respond to MGK. 💯💯💯
What do you think about Ye trying to keep his music off streaming services? There seems to be a lot of pushback on that decision. I'm really curious about your thoughts
Why is Vlad still around? He's like that one guy who no one invited, always speaks out of turn, has nothing to contribute, and ate the last slice of pizza. Just lingers, ling-errrrrrr. For the record, disliked this guy before disliking him was a thing.
Ye needed features. He didn't do it alone. He has to have guests to stay relevant. Those other charted songs were nearly all solo releases. People really like to credit this guy for breathing. He could 💩 on a desk, and the audience would applaud.
I think all of Ye’s rants were to show us all that you can’t be canceled or silenced if you have talent and substance. He is showing others that they can speak out against the mainstream without having everything they’ve worked for go away in an instant. He’s opening the door for other influential people to speak out and speak up against the darker sides of these industries.
@@TheIsh1000I know I’m probably giving him too much credit. I almost added in “if that wasn’t his plan then he needs to hurry up and say it was.” I’m simply speculating, and still hoping for the best. This album isn’t even that good in my opinion, but what he’s still able to accomplish after everything recently is amazing. Edit: and even if that wasn’t his plan with all of those rants. What I said still holds true. He’s paving the way back to free speech.
Vlad ain't mad. It's a reasonable conclusion to assume that an artist that only 2 #1 hits with the help of a major label would never see that success as an independent artist. I would have made that bet as well
Ye can always make a number one, as long as he's breathing he has a number one in him because he does things musically that people either haven't thought to do or aren't brave enough to attempt
Bro it is crazy. After it got pulled, everyone was streaming it alternatively. They really tried to fk him over, but YE should not be underestimated. YE recorded his Carnival verse in a room full of people lmao. It is honestly uplifting seeing someone struggling with mental health succeed against all odds.
@@jaimlawson *some* samples, can you elaborate on that? You named the two that he apparently did not clear and yet one of them he still decided to put out officially. And adidas..? Do you think adidas is stopping people from streaming Kanye’s music..?
Most people don’t live online. If the artist has a fan base they can survive. Vlad is a culture vulture and doesn’t have a finger on the pulse of real people.
Vlad tv hasn't been getting views like before, so it's making Vlad come out of his house more. Have you all seen him in drink champs? Free publicity and exposure vlad comenting about the whole adin thing it's for the same reason So we can talk about him more He's trying to get his views up . That's all 🤓 stay blessed
Fans usually push their favs to no.1 in the 1st week, then say “mission accomplished” and the song drops off the Hot100 after less than 6 weeks 😅 . They game the system because they know pure sales are weighted so much heavier than streams. But 84% of the market is streaming now so “Carnival“ is the organic hit that the majority of Americans are listening to. I remember when Glass Animals “heatwaves” hit no.1 in its 59th week, tho that song still had radio support, it always cool to a record spread, catch fire and climb the charts instead of peaking fast and free-falling.
He's just too massively Famous at this point & is also Tallented/Creative regardless of Label power, if He puts out something good with a Unique Quality it will Blow Up.
😂 fax this dude tha hip hop Einstein. 💯 I'm tuned in. I make music and I work as a prep cook 😂 I tell people jus make music for the love of it. I don't care. I'm dropping every week no matter what. 😂
@@HYextra I think you can appreciate guys like Vlad and Adam 22 for some past great interviews they have had but also strongly disagree with some of things they currently have going on!
