There is actually a generational shift in Florida with Cubans, but it's the other way around. Rubin fires a subtle message to Candace to get her act together and thoughts in order. Be the person in the first interview and less of the shrieking disaster in the second interview. This is a big opportunity for her. She can be feisty and provocative which will fade out much faster than being strong and grounded. I think she is getting a bigger and bigger platform and is walking a fine line between both directions right now. I hope she listens to Dave here and gets herself sorted and centered so people take her seriously and not turn her in to an attack dog type of personality

Anyone can change their mind either direction, anytime. Hearing someone is important, I'm interested in hearing what Kanye has to say. To someone who knows their own views, hearing something is no threat. I'm glad many others will hear as well... Even an interested glance can crack the door to truth. Hearing both sides, understanding another's perspective, knowing all the facts, careful consideration, empathy....all require effort, and a choice to make that effort. The more confidence you have in your choices, the more strength you have to make the effort.

Kyle S. So you think a simple tweet with an opinion is the same as protesting to get other to change theirs. Everyone can have an a view or opinion. Using their celebrity and putting out videos etc.... to get people to change theirs own opinions is a problem. An actor saying that they like Hilary is fine. The same actor saying Trump is evil and you are evil if you vote for him, followed by telling people he will do nude scenes in movies only as long as Hilary wins is a problem. Kanye is extremely talented. he has 21 grammys. Produced tracks for Jay-z, Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Notorious Big, Puff Daddy, Britney Spears, Common, The Weeknd, etc. Plus being very critically acclaimed, as many have called MBDTF the greatest album of the decade so far. Completely changed rap music in 2004 by bringing underground to the mainstream, then changed pop music in 2008 with 808s and heartbreak which has been copied for a decade straight now. He may not be a great singer or rapper but he's an amazing producer and the biggest influencer in music this century.

Dave, I'm not cocky enough to think you will read this message but I like a lot of people are going through this change. I always thought I was being virtuous, companionate so I thought I was thinking the way the left does, not what is smart and actually better for people. When I think now I actually feel bad about my thoughts (the way I guess "lefties" taught us to feel) not because of those thoughts but because I would be judged for them. I want everyone to be successful, happy and live their lives but to do it the most the most REALISTIC way possible. I walked into a coffee shop the other day reading a conservative book (no options about it either way) I felt embarrassed, like I was doing something wrong. I thank you Dave Rubin to not feel bad about doing what I feel is the right way.

Dave, I've been watching you for about 2 years now and I encourage others to listen. I love the fact that you have strong feelings and opinions but always open to learn and understand things you may not agree with. Several have changed your mind, or at least made you see from a different perspective. I respect you for that, for being open. I always tell my children that "if you think you know everything than you have a Lot to learn" . We should all stand firm on our beliefs (morals etc..) but should allow ourselves to always learn. 🙂

What is happening with Kanye West signals a monumental tipping point in culture. The culture has been shattered, the mainstream narative blown to pieces and a young black man with incredible fame and influence has come out and spoken against those who wish to control him and his art. Say many things about Kanye West, no one can argue that he is at his very core is a true artist. Kanye being a true artists makes him a natural free thinker, and being a free thinker he will naturally break away from the mainstream cultural narrative, being an artist he is able to point it out publicly. This is the Artist's role in culture. As culture continues to break down, free speech liberty and freedom will put it back together.
