The sound on this is so dope. I love the extremely high quality capture of relatable accessible scenes. Ye seems to bring out the best in the folks he works with.

It’s really hard to explain but this song hits a part of me that very few songs hit. I’ve been in a shitty mental low recently and this song kind of gives me a level of hope that I need.

The lyrics carry more meaning than the apparent nonsense they seem to be. I caught a connection between the lyrics of “Back To Me” and “Runaway”. The Runaway film follows Kanye and his “beautiful butt-naked woman” from another planet that falls out the sky into his life. On “Back To Me” , Kanye shows his growth by acknowledging this to just be a 'fantasy' and not reality. It isn't as simple as his younger self made it appear to be, they don't just fall out the sky. Life is more complicated than that. The chorus lyrically aligns with runaway too "in the morning you'll be running back to me" in contrast to "runaway from me baby" and in reference to the free Hoover concert where Kanye sang for Kim to "run right back to me". Once again, this serves as the antithesis to the fantasy life Kanye once lived and shows his personal growth. He now knows how valuable women are in his life, they don't just fall out the sky, and he doesn't want them to runaway any more. This is further emphasised by the "Yeezy how you doing huh" lyrics which paint Ye to be in a place of self reflection with coming to terms with the reality of this.
