@@magickone138 Hahahaha. I'm probably still hyped up from Donda dropping out of nowhere. It's just the vibes from this song remind me of the College Dropout. Can't recall a recent song that does from the top of my head
“Lauryn Hill said her heart was in Zion, I wish her heart was still in rhymin Cos who the kids gon listen to? Huh? I guess me if it isn’t you.” -Kanye West, Champion
Champion-“Lauryn said her heart was in Zion/I wish her heart was in rhymin/cuz who the kids gon listen to?/I guess me if it isn’t you”. This Lauryn Hill concept has been with him throughout his career
You know what? As soon as I heard Donda I said the same thing, cause I always thought he was bad as a singer. But a couple of weeks ago I watched the VH1 Storytellers he did back when 808´s was released, and I gotta tell you, he wasn´t even a bad singer 10 years ago, and yes, he´s improved upon that a lot.
@@sustifyy slow down with that. CB is in a a different stratosphere. Go play waves from “The life of Pablo” where they both sing and find out for yourself.
It actually would have sounded better with a snare😂. Play it back and add a snare and prove me wrong 😂. If it's such a novel idea why don't more producers do it?. I will tell you why. It's because it is a bad idea😂
I can't describe the happiness I felt when I saw this was in the track list when I first heard this. We'd been waiting for this song for such a long time 😭
There are so many songs on Donda that we have been bumpin on leaks for so long, it was ttruly orgasmic to have them released officially in high quality.
If this dropped in late 2000s early 2010s this would be one of his biggest hit records ever, but streaming era it will be lucky to be getting play next year. Imagine the music video for this premiering in a time where mtv/bet still played music vids.
The comments refreshing is honestly a blessing. All the copy-paste tryhard first day comments are gone n now actual good comments about the song can flourish
@@ManniLive Nah Michael Jackson. Even without any social media he was probably the most famous human being ever since the mid 80’s. Everyone knew him and his name. Kanye is definitely the MJ of our generation but in terms of all time, Kanye is 2nd but at this rate he surely could become #1
This song showed Kanye in a new light for me. I’ve never really been in to his music but i was shown this song and i was thoroughly surprised. I can’t believe i enjoy a Kanye song this much this is easily one of my favorite songs of all time
I don’t know what Kanye would’ve ACTUALLY done with Lift Yourself if he wasn’t taking the piss, but I imagine it would’ve sounded like this. Absolutely beautiful.
I have been listening to this song for the past whole year of my life, i love it. What makes it special to me is that, for the first time of my life, I have felt what truly is the meaning of "Vibing" to a song. My head and my neck moved on their own, they litearlly danced from side to side to the rythm of this song without me noticing, when i did notice i could only smile, this shit is incredible, Ye is truly a GOAT for making this kind of songs. Love to everyone.
Album's trash but songs like these are diamonds in the rough! Needed more OG Kanye in there instead of the autotune shit he did for most of the songs on Donda.
@@rokutime2627 True and their is no ryhmes or flow. Kanye fans just say shit like "But the music has depth" yes and every love song techincally has depth so is that good music?
Never been a Kanye fan, just never listened to him. Decided to check out Donda and this is by far my favorite track. Everyone here saying this sounds like Old Kanye probably means I’m gonna check out his older works
Almost got assassinated in October 2023 and has to go 2 deep surgeries and the most painful moment of my Life in a hospital. This music was the only sound that kept me straight and present for my Family. Kanye
little fun fact of a thing i noticed while listening, in 0:49 to 0:59 there’s a leitmotif to “Good Morning” the opening track of graduation, pretty neat
I think it's important that we keep the spirit of summer alive in the first few months of school. I know I for one won't let society control the seasons!
Kanye went by himself no features on an absolute BOP with this one. The joyful groovy beat and them Lauryn and Buju Banton voices, man guy just different when he inspired.
Between the harmony of “watch out watch out” and Kanye’s hook, this song is what they call “Chef’s Kiss.” Kanye’s vocal arrangement on this is one of his best. People would pay to spectate his studio sessions 🔥 🔥
T h i s. It's the pinnacle of Ye hooks, it pulls from Graduation, 808s, Yeezus, it's literally from all of those eras [not to say he was an entirely different artist in each era, but it's almost as if this song and PARTICULARLY the chorus could be a perfect fit on damn near ANY Ye album] fuckin masterful
Hes solidified his entire catalog with this album. I'm not a fan and only know his early work in limited experience and I fully believe this is a Master Work. This level of work places him in a pretty small club of similar artists.

Never been a fan of Kanye or even this entire genre of music but listening to Donda, this album really has something special to it. It has so much motivation behind it, so much personal drive. It feels so special. Edit: a lot of people are assuming that I just never knew Kanye existed until now... I don’t listen to his other music because I don’t like his other music. I’m sorry if that completely enrages you and makes you want to throw shit at me. Yes, I grew up listening to his music because of my father. Still didn’t like it. Another edit: if you listen to any music that associates itself with emo Bart Simpson edits, don’t publicly share your opinion. You’re only bullying yourself. I even have more respect for Morrissey fans.
the first time I listened to this when that interlude comes on with the guy talking I knew in my heart it was gonna go back into the chorus and when it did my fucking mind was blown lmaooo thought it was the best song ever lmaooo good times .
There is a party in LA called the Do Over, it has gone quite international, but this song would go OFF there! There is one soon, and would lose it if I hear it.

I was crying when it heard it in Chicago cause I was so sad when I didn’t hear him use it in the first two albums I was like damn he forgot about this ultimate beauty. Then once I heard lauryn I cried because it made me realize what the donda experience really is and that the song is complete and official.
@@chaldoproductions613 bro fuckin same. I remember this snippet from ig. And I was like bruh I guess we'll never hear it again. Then middle of listening to donda you hear the woooooo hoooo hoo hoooooooo. *instant tear*
This is definitely Late Registration Kanye Vibes, from the electric guitar to the flow. If you don’t believe me, listen to the hook from “Heard Em Say”.
