in theory i realized there wasnt any bg noise or anything, but i hadnt actually articulated that. it truly does make such a difference. and is so fitting
it's actually the lack of words. kanye has no college degree and is not a very intelligent person. don't confuse someone who earns a lot of money with someone who is intellectual and knows really well how to express himself. long story short: if you wanna express yourself and you can't you are probably just dumb. also: english is a very limited language.
I think it was just an oversight on Charlamagne's part. I'd hate to be put under a microscope like this and have every move, gesture, expression and word scrutinized, criticized and interpreted by millions of viewers that then have millions of opinions on how each viewer received the message.
“ I never had empathy for people who lacked confidence. I had so much of it, I didn’t know what it was like to be without it.” This hit me so hard because you dont get it unless you’ve gone through it.
@@dystopia-0616 now I think that his mad confidence comes from fear and the will to overcome it. But he seems not to understand that one can be confident and still feel fear sometimes at the same time. Fear also is a warning sign, to ignore it can be very dangerous.

@@lucianoalbuq boy! That was 4 months ago and I’m getting ready for work! You better watch the interview like I did! 😂 Seriously tho, it’s a great an interesting interview. It’s worth the watch.
I bet any money that God forbid Kanye dies, that people will then understand what he was really trying to tell us and all of a sudden the interviews and rants he made was relevant and meaningful.
This interview is out of this world. I have never seen anything like it. The way Kanye declares and put things out to the Universe is amazing. The silence in between answering questions really got me.
'Stop doing things only based in fear, the universe will assist you when you are acting in love. When you're acting in love you're like a drop of water and you have the ocean as your army. When you act in fear its just you and your money.' Very well said Kanye
Lynchg, Candidly, I really appreciate the effort you put into this post, and wish more people took the time to articulate their thoughts digitally. If you want to connect with more well-intentioned people you should pay us a visit - your friends at GARLEW
Absolute truth friend..love amplifies synergistically... Because God is Love..we tap into Hid supernatural power when we act out in and of LOVE! High vibration..heals hearts. The opposite of Love is fear..low vibe bad energy. It's What those who detest the light feed on. Love overcomes all!
“Stop doing things only based in fear, the universe will assist you when you are acting in love. When you’re acting in love you’re like a drop of water in the ocean as your army. When you act in fear it’s just you & your money” -Kanye West
Trevon Griffin you can tell when someone who is interviewing generally cares about the person their talking to. He cares so he did his homework. I wish more people would see ye in this light, their loss if they don't though.
"If you hang around people who try to act like you arent who you are, you will forget who you are" Nearly had a panic attack just reading it from the sheer realization of power a sentiment like that has
I completely relate to what you said. It’s like being in free fall when you come to the realization that you’ve been “handled” for your whole entire existence.
26:59 "Stop strategizing so much, stop setting so many plays. Stop doing things only based in fear. The universe will assist you when are acting in love." "When you be around ppl who act like you aren't who you are, you'll forget who you are." had these on my wall since this dropped. forgot about em, trying to think of something to do that embodies what they mean
We appreciate who you are exactly how you are, Ye. You are an inspiration to millions and there are still people out here who support and defend you to the critics!
Look up his one with hype beast from a couple years back, they did an even better job! They added outdoor noises in the background and it honestly fit the interview so well.
These two are made for each other. Kanye is an egotical narcissist. And Charlamagne is an immature child! Right when it gets kind of deep, either Kanye shows his ego or Charlamagne cracks a corny joke! 💯
Kanye is brilliant!!!!! The media is doing to him what they did to Michael Jackson. They put so much extra sauce in everything he says that they try to make people forget how brilliant and revolutionary and unique is his music. Lets no forget. Ye we pray for you.
This interview was an illustration of Kanye’s mind and perspectives. And Charlemagne did a phenomenal Job of giving us a interview with real questions and feed back.. well done guys... this one is in the history books..
Charlemagne should win an Emmy for this interview. I feel as though he came prepared and he didn’t care for the popularity, like he was really interested and it shows. Very well done.
Shazy Charlamagne cuddled and coddled Kanye! It's painful to see 2 middle age men talk about such simple and rudimentary topics and disguise them as intellectual and philosophical! 💯
That's not it, he is interviewing in a way to not show bias. He is not here to disagree or agree with him or share his own opinion. The interview isn't about him at all, so he is letting kanye get it all out. Imagine the restraint Charlemagne has to not debate with him, as opinionated as he is. This interview shows growth in both parties. I think he did an amazing job.
I believe Kanye’s loss of his Mom had a huge impact on him. Then the relationship with Jay, then aging and music changing and life. He’s a human being, an incredible one but at the end of the day he’s human.
You can tell Ye's mind is in constant motion, just the way he pauses when he's getting deep into something shows that. He contemplates everything he's going to say, it may be an instinctual reaction from having media watching his every move and word, or it may just be how he's always been. Either way, he's a genius and I'm happy I got to live in the Era where Kanye was around.
Kanye will definitely be one of those artists that gets his flowers too late. He is the greatest artist and innovator, he says some wild shit but it’s all come to fruition. He changed music, they way y’all dress LOL the sneaker game all that.
Agreed. Though I do think Kris Jenner was/is a huge role as being a mother, a manger, experiencing life in the limelight on "history making" media attention. I think he definitely has/is leaning on her to hear her say those words "baby he didn't mean it like that" or "I love you." She wants him to be him, accepts his choices as a mother would do for their child. Therefore we have a Kanye that his mother was trying to prep & mold for all that has came & will come.
This is one of the best interview's I've ever seen. Philosophy, culture, politics, new ideas...I've gained so much knowledge. Amazing job by Charlamagne on this interview, a great listener (and therapist)
Kanyes weakness is that he's just too hard on himself inspite of all his success. He just needed someone to tell him that he's doing a great job, inspite of what he may think. 👏 ❤. He has achieved so much level of GREATNESS!
Sucks that his true self is just empty platitudes about how its okay to sell out the poor because "your setting an example" by winning the success lottery
Actual Research Kanye is empty. He wants to be the biggest thing in the world and it hurts him that he isn't. He married Kim because she is an icon. When he speaks about Kim he can't help but remind people how huge she is. That's the definition of low self-esteem. To think that marrying an icon validates you somehow. Kanye also complains about people treating him the same way they treat most celebrities. His ego shines even when he's not trying to show it. He's full of himself even when he's being vulnerable and caring.
Mr Sir Are you really that stupid and ignorant? You believe that your beliefs are held by the majority? If that’s the case then why have Republicans only won one term in the past 30 years by popular vote? The electoral college is single handily keeping the republicans alive. What a stupid statement.
Great interview. Charlamagne has definitely stepped his game up. He asked great questions and allowed Kanye to express and explain the way we needed to hear.
89 Til Infinity not a cop. I've just watched the truth be used against enough people to know that while that quote may sound deep, it's not the "truth".
I mean he knows that he's the Greatest, and he's not waiting for anyone's approval on it. He Just is..I truly wish, want to, and will reach the Kanye West Level of Confidence. If I could get any Mentor in the world dead or alive, I would choose Kanye West no doubt. Every day is a Learning Experience. I apply the Kanye thought process in my life and it's amazing, We need more people as real as Ye. And that takes a great level of bravery, to let go of fear and just exist.
Listen to the music, Believe what he says (wink, wink) and watch his other interviews it'll liberate you. Just listening to how Kanye tackles the multitude of obstacles and issues in his path is inspirational he's almost like a folk hero.
This does not sound like a crazy man to me. This sounds like someone who woke up. I went through a similar experience back in 2012 sitting in jail due to a drug addiction. I was self medicating for all my mental issues and being abused as a child. It wasn't until I got clean that I finally woke up. There comes a time where you have to take control of your life and stop letting outside forces influence all your actions. We all go through struggles in life and everyones struggle is different. However, once we overcome our struggles, it's our responsibility to help others going through similar struggles that we have gone through. We need to stop letting our leaders group us into boxes and start working together to understand each other better. Sometimes just listening and trying to understand things from another person's perspective goes a long way. We don't always have to agree on every single topic, but we can find a happy medium and some common ground. Even if you disagree with me, I still love all of you. I love every living thing. We are all on this planet together. Let's try to make the best of what we've got. Peace and love to everyone!
I know you wrote this 7 months ago but I'm honestly surprised there aren't more replies to this. I needed to hear what you wrote today, so thank you. I hope you're doing well, fellow Earth dweller! 👋🏻
It’s so obvious how big this man’s purpose in the kingdom is. The enemy wanted to take him out so bad but God’s grace was so much bigger for his life. I love seeing the Holy Spirit shine through people.
"The worst thing to call someone is crazy. It's dismissive. I don't understand someone so they're crazy. That's bullshit. These people aren't crazy these are strong people... maybe the environment is a little sick..." - Dave Chappelle
Kanye's a genius, and pushing his visions forward. Not crazy, just under an insane amount of pressure, a kind that normal people will never exp or understand.
I love when he says “I want to change the stigma on the word crazy” In my heart I hope he changes the view on mental illness. People have feelings, the illness isn’t them.
This conversation is just so amazing. Charlemagne not adding in his opinions as opinionated as he is and just letting Kanye speak, is growth. Kanye, his words are pure art. He is so insightful, thought provoking, creative, inventive. Just wow. He is legit pouring from his soul when he speaks. I appreciate just being able to watch this and take notes on the many, many, many gems left here on purpose. We need more of this. Aware, in tune men, conversing with each other about shit that can inspire us all. I have paused this video so many times to write something down. It's so powerful and insightful. Thank you, Kanye. May you get everything you ever dream. Same to Charlemagne. ❤
The world is a better place because of Kanye. Dude isn't a criminal or deviant, all he does is say some things that rile people up. He is a unique individual and i am glad that we get a glimpse of his mind from time to time.
I look at Kanye like he’s Van Gough. He makes brilliant work and is a genius in his own right but the critics and mainstream of his time don’t appreciate him for how great he really is.
WillyWonkaEatMyAss don’t bother arguing with him, I doubt he even watched the first 10 minutes. Proving my point. He doesn’t want to believe Kanye has a point. He already made his mind up that Kanye is a crazy fool.
Sam Matheson is he the same interviewer who told Post Malone's girl that he was going to cheat on her now that he was "famous"? Making sure I'm not confusing them haha.
I won't lie , this interview was therapeutic. I've always loved Kanye but after this my respect for him as evolved. He's a pioneer, and I hope we get to see what he can accomplish in another 20 years, if God allows it. It's exciting.
Yes for these two black men having a vulnerable, truthful conversation, when so many in the community don’t know what that looks like. No matter if you agree or not, you gotta feel the candor in this interview. It’s refreshing, especially for me who has never felt like I’ve understood either of these men. We need more.
It depends on how you look at it, if he's my brother, then we family, but if we're just business associates then I over stepped my boundaries. - WEST Great way to put it west.
