this sounds like the final song ever, the sound of everything ending but in a good and calm way, like you’re content with everything that’s ever happened and you’re assending into the heavens
My wife and I suffered two miscarriages within 2 years, but good news, our little baby boy is due December 21st! I’m 33 years old and I’m going to be a dad! This song has got me through the rough nights of trying to help comfort and be strong for my wife while I’m also hurting inside. This song has given me hope when I didn’t have much. I pray for those who are also struggling with infertility because it’s an issue that is very common, yet rarely talked about. I pray for you. Don’t give up.
Ye really sat in that room making 5 beats a day for 3 summers. Now here he is burning it down in front of millions. So incredibly profound I’m moved to tears. Honestly.
i cry everytime i listen to this song it reminds me everymoment in my life strugglin with depression cause my dad was sent to jail seven years ago thinking that i wouldnt be happy again as my childhood thank you kanye for remindin me that im so strong
Something to rejoice about from what I remember those who walk into a jail and those real years it is because they are going to heaven. Those bound to hell they walk out.
I don't care what anyone says about Ye, his music speaks to me, it encourages me and makes me feel like someone understands, his whole discography has songs that put me right back to the place I was at that time. I play his music and remember good times and bad but it has feeling. No other artist has influenced or encouraged me the way he has and I thank him for that. I hope he has someone or something that makes him feel the same way I do when I play his music.
This is literally what makes him an absolute genious, the average mind might not understand but this mans brain works in complex ways me or you would never understand
I became a huge fan like 7 years ago and have been struggling with anxiety and depression fo 4years now but seeing his journey and all of what he fought thought has helped me a lot and im now feeling the best ive felt for a long time even tho i still fight anxiety everyday, i cant never surrender now
People expected the "explosive" songs, but DONDA has some of Kanye's most heartfelt music he's ever made. Come to life is one example. Incredibly moving track.
Do you know the Now United group? If you don't know, I recommend listening to all their songs, they are very good. It has an American and a Canadian member in the group
Mad when she gone, mad when she home, sad when she gone, mad when she home, sad when she gone. - For some reason this line hits deep and is one of Ye's greatest to me. The whole song is beautiful.
this song is powerful in Ye's discography like few others are. I frequently find myself moved to tears by this track. It's a rare moment of Ye accepting all the hardship in his life, accepting that he's struggling, accepting that he has issues, and yet despite all that, pushing through it all due to a combination of his tenacity and the solace his faith gives him. This track feels like Ye FINALLY putting his mother to rest after blaming himself for years for her passing. it feels like an ending to this erratic and manic chapter in his life. Like a new beginning. It's beautiful, Ye. Thank you for making this masterpiece.
@@guypeopleperson6176 That’s not a “Runaway” type song- the “Runaway” of this album would have to be either Moon, Come to Life, or No Child Left Behind…
Crazy that after decades of fame he arguably released his best song ever in 2021 (this song) this song alone is better than other artist’s entire careers
That’s how I approach life. Every single decision we made in our lives led up to me replying to your comment, and others reading it. Made me realize why good choices lead to good outcomes if it’s done consistently.
The ONLY reason this album has not received more airplay is because Kanye is viewed as a threat politically, culturally, AND from the standpoint of artistic independence. Kanye will prevail.
Considering there is no profanity in this album, it probably would have changed the whole radio landscape. Imagine hearing Come to life and moon on the radio instead of the same commercial slop 40x over.
I was at the listening event in Chicago when this was played. If I could "re-experience" one moment from the experience, it would be this track. Everyone in that stadium was in the same state of mind, the same sense of calm. It was truly beautiful seeing everyone's lights out with the synthesizer/piano melody playing while kanye SINGS. One of the most euphoric moments of my life, Hands down. Thank you Kanye for this incredible work of art.
the music video doesn't get talked about enough--the symbolism is overwhelming. What sticks out to me most is kim--how she walks a full circle, from darkness to light, eventually back to ye. with her in white and him in black, it mirrors their wedding day outfits. kim had already filed for divorce at this point and ye knew she was leaving him. but with the wedding outfits, with kim walking from darkness to light (almost like reversing time--back from the rockiness of marriage into the early days of infatuation and joy), it feels like ye was trying to bring his marriage back full circle (literally)--closing it the way it begun.
Drake will NEVER compare to Kanye. Nothing in his entire catalog can even come close to anything Kanye has done. This song alone shits on anything Drake has released his entire life.
This song hits different when you’re going through a dark path and you look towards God for help… This whole album makes you rebuild a bond with Christ.
I've been an addict my whole life in and out of the rooms and this is the first time I'm actually giving myself a chance and kanyes music has really helped me through. Thank you
Very good, Jessica. I also was a big video game- and sexaddict; before I gave my life to "Yasha", first in 2020, before I came to Jesus Christ, now recently. I am glad, I didn't proceed, choosing richness and fame; then it would have been hard, to get forgiveness of my sins. I wish you very good luck, walking on The Narrow Path. May God bless you, always.
Lost my mom three weeks a go. This song hits so hard, it’s so touching and emotional... This whole album actually 24 is awesome too. Love you mom. More than my life.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Much love from my family to yours. Stay strong and make her proud. Your life was her whole purpose on earth, so live it the best you can.
Feel like I’m behind everyone in life. My circumstances aren’t terrible, but it seems so easy to fall out of reality and feel like everyone around you is moving on, growing faster, achieving more. This song helps me keep faith in myself. Kanye is a musical genius
That piano at the middle of this... It's enough to move a grown man to tears. Shout out to everyone going through something & trying to make their situation better. ♥️🙏🏾
This is a depiction of anti Christ coming, performing false miracles with physics.. And church being guarded by guards, so no worship of Jesus christ.. the bride is us, gods children, Kanye playing anti Christ thinking that will come between God and us.. This is evil, Kanye is no christian.. ignorant if u think so, and blind to truth
@@CrazyLibs this is a possibility. But I don't see why he'd turn so many on to Jesus in the process. I feel like he's trying to leave the system and actually get right with God. Atleast I hope...
@@Andrea-um3dqsince ive came to Christ in may some of the only things that make me cry are realizing how Christ saved me in my past life, seeing people holding hands and praying at church, and gospel music, specifically this and 24 also on donda
Don’t matter how old you are… anyone can resonate with Ye’s music. Come to Life brings tears. You reflect - appreciate your life, want to chase your dreams, become that better version of yourself. This is beauty. This is music. Forever grateful Kanye.
[Intro] My soul cries out Hallelujah and I thank God for saving me I thank God for... [Chorus] Here go all your problems again (I thank God) Three, two, one, you're pinned (I thank God) Uncle now he back in the pen' (Hallelujah) Auntie shut down again Did she finally come to life? (Thank you, Jesus) Ever wish you had another life? Ever wish you had another life? Ever wish you had another life? [Verse 1] Don't you wish the night would go numb? I've been feelin' low for so long I ain't had a high in so long I been in the dark for so long Night is always darkest 'fore the dawn Gotta make my mark 'fore I'm gone I don't wanna die alone I don't wanna die alone I get mad when she gone Mad when she home Sad when she gone Mad when she home Sad when she gone (Loosen right now, the spirit that wants to run) Floatin' on a silver lining (In the name of Jesus) Yeah, you know where to find me, ridin' on a silver lining And my God won't deny me, tell the Devil, "Get behind me" And all the stars are aligned, lift me up every time You know exactly where to find me [Interlude] Hallelujah (Thank you, Jesus) Hallelujah (Yes) Hallelujah... [Pre-Chorus] Did those ideas ever really come to life? Make it all come to life Make it all come to life Prayin' for a change in your life Well, maybe it's gon' come tonight [Chorus] Sadness settin' in again Three, two, one, you're pinned Uncle right back in the pen' Tell me how auntie been Took your thoughts and penciled 'em in Should've wrote 'em down in pen And maybe they'll come to life And maybe they'll come to life Sadness settin' in again Three, two, one, you're pinned Uncle right back to the pen' Tell me how auntie been Thoughts, you had penciled 'em in Probably should've wrote 'em in pen And maybe they'll come to life They could finally come to life They could finally come to life [Verse 2] You know where to find me, they cannot define me So they crucify me, how so fazed when I leave? Come and purify me, come and sanctify me You the air that I breathe, the ultra-ultralight beam Brought a gift to Northie, all she want was Nikes This is not about me, God is still alive, so I'm free Floatin' on a silver lining, floatin' on a silver lining So when I'm free, I'm free
How can you not like Kanye. You feel like you can understand him by the way he shows his heart to the world. Pretty awesome work. I hope he finds peace from mind.
The way that house burning down could be analogist to Kanye finally letting go of the physical loss and yearning for his mother and realizing the house is just a structure and that home is wherever he is...and that he no longer needs the house to be connected to his mom. Its so beautiful....he is freeing his soul after all of those years of heartbreak and grieving
@Beatnik me too...i was 17 and away in University...i heard later on before she died, she kept on asking about me!I'm the last born....that shit still haunts me till this day..im 33.i graduated, got married, have 3 beautiful daughters... But I still long and yearning for her! I would give anything to see her again.....i totally understand Kanyes pain!
The house is typically a symbol for transformation of the psyche. I am no expert, but the idea is something like recovering from a mental breakdown by becoming stronger and more astute. I think, at least partly, he's talking about never giving up hope, which is obviously directly paralleled with faith in Christ. Just finding ways to keep moving forward, realizing we can withstand any amount of suffering or evil in the world. I think this ties in a lot with the rest of his album, like in "heaven and hell", I seem to remember a lot of the latter part embedded in there.
1:20 that women who screams her lungs out ”haleluljah” makes it 10 times more beautiful and I don’t know why. It sounds like ultimate freedom, I’m crying
This is Kanye at his vocal best. He really needs to do more songs like this. The chord arrangements, the lyrics, the passion, and vocal delivery is perfect. Nobody else sings in this style better than him!!!
When he said " I don't wanna die alone, I get mad when she gone, mad when she home, sad when she gone, mad when she home, sad when she gone" I felt that deep in my soul. Pure genius
Kanye I pray for you! May you find peace in the midst of all the troubles! May you remain in the Light, Guided by the Holy Ghost, Protected by His Shield and Favoured by His Grace! Walk Forever Close to God Kanye!! He Loves You! You Are Loved!! Remember that Always!! Amen 🙏🏽 🙌

@@MrEmreWawa Whatever. Just because it’s heartfelt doesn’t mean it needs to be boring. This song and pretty much every song he’s made in the last bunch of years have all sucked.
@@Corbindcollins songs were good, no doubt. But it felt like the same thing Drake has been releasing, plus the Album as a whole doesn't really have a kind of vibe or a story
I feel like the variance from good to bad is more than any album ive ever listened to. You got shit like tell the vision being on there with a shitty mix and one verse repeating over and over, to this masterpiece.
I love how this song portrays the essence of human nature: the fears, the dreams, the emotions, how we sometimes wish everything was different or we didn’t even exist. How we want to change but don’t know how and keep looking for answers that never come and how we’re the only ones able to find those answers and walk our path with faith and the help of God. Many times we forget what makes us human: the pain, the scars, the memories, the fear of being alone, fear of not being enough... I think this song describes it pretty well. Probably, one of the best in Kanye’s career.
"Praying for a change in your life Well, maybe it's gon' come tonight" This line really helps me keep having hope whenever I listen to it. Beautiful song
God does really exist. As I was going through these comments while listening to the song it was time for me to read this comment and I read it while the exact words were being sang. I know it's not a coincidence but God was telling me that He is with me
Just pick another song then come back. This is one of the few albums where it's hard to skip a song. They all are fire for different reasons. Easily one of the greatest albums ever. He hits every emotion over and over again. The messages are that of legends.... Kanye is back and better than ever. I needed this...
This song saved my soul. I am going to church this Sunday for the first time in my adult life. Thank you Kanye for everything you have done for me, and for the world. God Bless everyone reading this. GOD'S NOT FINISHED WITH ANY OF US
Kanye Omari West is the greatest artist of the 21st century. I'm glad to witness this man's journey. I was there from the beginning. This is another classic album for the ages. There's an intense emotional feeling within most the songs on the album which is so fitting for a 44 year old man who had to spit it through the wire and then go through the fire losing his mom in an unfortunate manner and then a divorce and everything else in between. This album is about Donda guiding him through it all. Timeless album. 🙏
kanye's is a artist artist every album he switches his sound up that's brave to do even when you have a winning formula 808s basically birthed drake etc and kanye was hated on for that album years later it wins the most influential album he's always creative no matter what
Still here a year later listening to this on repeat. Ye's recent stuff is life affirming. Thankful for his work. The production is Brian Wilson smile level on a lot of the new tracks.
2 decades of him being active in the game and he’s still making classics. off the grid, hurricane, come to life and no child left behind will become classics in the years to come. up there with all the other classics kanye has
@@archiesutherland6127 I've yet to find a Drake song I enjoy, but I've only listened to like a very small handful like hotline bling. Got any suggestions? Cuz I got no idea why this man is so popular lol.
@@monkeyjumbo48 try nothing was the same album exactly pound cake Scorpion whole album was great , songs like passion fruit give me a perfect vibe, I’m a kanye fan but i think drake is good
I’m seeing so many people loving Donda. Honestly I love how much love Kanye is getting. Some people forget his just another human being with feelings. He has problems but we all do and I’m hoping Kanye is just happy.
