ALWAYS! I was a musical artist at one point and wanted to learn a certain production software. A producer I knew invited me to his studio to teach me, but kept inviting me at night while knowing I had no other transportation but public transportation and I would miss my last bus. Mind you, this was before Uber and Lyft. I kept calling him out on that and he kept telling me to relax instead of telling me he would make sure I get home or change the meet up time to something better.
Yup and worse part is that they know of the risk but the ambition and drive gets in the way. I follow a smaller artist that was struggling and her manager essentially got her into escorting so she could at least make money on the side while pursuing music
