@@dalekay9ine buddy you literally use garage band I wouldn’t talk if I were you. Kanye could make a beat in 10 minutes and moan over it and it’d still be better than anything dogshit you put out
@@ianmartins3407 Exactly. There is a lot to appreciate with this album but people are exaggerating when they call it a masterpiece. Donda has some really great tracks (Heaven and Hell being my favorite) but it is overall very inconsistent, drawn out, and ultimately unfinished. There is so much hype for such a mid 5/10 album.
kanye is legitamtely a musical genius. it just boggles my mind how this man KEEPS ON releasing masterpieces. I GUARENTEE this album will be considered a legendary vibe in around 2024. It always take a few years for people to catch up to his sound. His music ages like a fine wine. It takes time.
@@technofire_cake1115 exactly like yeezus! i remember people shitting all over it and was confused. i enjoyed it quite a bit when it came out, was a brutal vibe, real powerful. Now when i listen to Yeezus it’s just incredible. it was so far ahead of its time. sounds like music from the 2050s.
Only reason this song isn’t widely accepted as the best on the album is because it has no features, therefore there aren’t non Kanye fans also pumping it up. Kanye mains will appreciate this
People saying this album is mid just don’t get it man… I legit have never been a kanye fan. Never listened to an album all the way through… but this album is so emotional and raw. I can’t stop listening.
This album saved me when I hit an emotional low point. Ive struggled with depression all my life, had ups and downs and had such a stretch of time where I was doing well previously. Listening to this album reminded me that I need to keep going and pick myself back up. Idgf who thinks its cliche, music saves lives. My favorite song on this album. If anyone ever reads this, please don’t give up on yourself and don’t give up on life. We need you.
For the past 3 hours was listening to Drake new Album CLB and Kanye west Donda...ok I respect both artists and the efforts they put on the albums. But, Kanye words are more deeply touching your soul and it's for everyone( it's difficult to described). On the other hand Drake, it's like he is back the Drake we knew before with goofy and funny way of dancing or acting, hell yeah I love it. Kanye ,Drake and all of you ..God Bless You ❤️
My interpretation: you’re descending into Hell in the beginning of the song, as the eerie vocals and instrumentals would suggest, then the beat dies and Ye demands the Devil to Lay Down and BAM, salvation hits. Potentially how Ye saw his spiritual life before finding God
Yo I feel you on that. Just a lot more darker.. this song is out of this world.. ppl will realise what a masterpiece this song and this album is in a few years.
lyrics: Children growing, women producing Men go work and some go stealing Everyone's got to make a living No more promos, no more photos No more logos, no more chokeholds We on Bezos, we get payrolls Trips to Lagos, connect like LEGOs Make this final, make this, my eyes closed Burn false idols, Jesus' disciples I can feel your pain now, I done bled my vein out New level the game now, simulation changed No more problems, no more argue No more askin', "Who really are you?" I know the real you, you know we feel you You know He hears you, you know we with you Straight from Beirut, Chicago, Beirut You cray? We cray too You pray? We pray too Never too late for Him to save you This your movie, 'cause no one can play you Devil, lay down, Devil, lay down This that level, make devils pray now (Heaven and Hell) Hold up, no peace, hold up, police Don't call police, just stay focused (is on Earth) Pray for new life, pray for new breath Hey, Lord, make sure it's safe for who's left (Heaven and Hell) Know you can't find a place to rest Know the Lord my bulletproof vest (is on Earth) When we survive, know that we blessed Save my people though the music Let it grrat, let it grrat, grrat Let it grrat, grrat, grrat, grrat, grrat Grrat, grrat, grrat Let it grrat, let it grrat, grrat Let it grrat, grrat, grrat, grrat, grrat Let it grrat
This song is so powerful that i felt the most intense rush of emotions and feelings in my veins in a way that words would do no justice. I can feel Ye's sheer passion in this song. This man is relentlessly doing what he is best at doing, which is showing the world his larger than life aura and i am just one of many that appreciates it. Ye, never stop being you. You've saved my life more than a few times thruogh your many admirable pieces of work. I am just blessed to witness such greatness in real time, we all should be. I wish you all the best. and may you all win in this life. for those that don't understand him, all i can say his try to be more open minded. Ye is someone to learn from, admire, be inspired by, be driven by. 'If you're a fan of Kanye West you're not a fan of me you're a fan of yourself. I'm just the shot of espresso to get you going." -Kanye West
Looking back at my comment saying "ye might have saved my soul" is blasphemy 😂 but listening to Jesus walks is definitely one of the earliest steps I can think of, in taking my belief seriously.
Had the best workout today on this song. Every time Kanye goes Devil lay down, devil lay down, this that level that makes devils pray now.” I freakin get godlike strength.
The day has come when all men and women are Insane- and when there is one among them who is not the point and say “look, he is crazy because he is not like us
