I feel ya. I've been there before. Just wanted to share some good news to any struggling believer or curious agnostic. I know it might seem kinda crazy that I'm putting all this effort into a post for an old comment, my name and pic are wild, but something in me made me wanna check out this song again, then I saw this comment and that at least 100 or so people relate to it and it just so happened to be something I've been reading about lately and helping my best bud with, so to me that's absolutely a calling. I hope this helps anyone struggling. Love ya God bless and happy new year. You can never be too far for too long. Matthew 18:12, Jesus says, "What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?". This is saying that we're all God's kids, whether we do good or bad we're always loved in a parental kinda way. If and when we mess up, God is always there with open arms to accept us back now that Jesus has made the ultimate sacrifice. In the Old Testament, remembering mostly Genesis, the way to be cleansed of your sin was animal sacrifice. It's hardcore I know, but it's the truth of what's in there. Jesus came to earth as God the Son, The Son of Man (Remember, God's a complicated trinity. The Father, Son, and Spirit are God but one is not the other. Hurts my head still) to live a perfect sinless life and be the final sacrifice for all mankind's sins as long as we humble ourselves and believe it true. In Luke 23: 39-43, Jesus is asked to be remembered by the thief on the cross who is being crucified beside him, to which He replies, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise." PS: Prayer doesn't have to be complicated. God knows what we want before we ask. It's the faith and showing that we believe that really matters to him. Matthew 6:9-13, Jesus gives an example of how a prayer should be. The lord's prayer. It could be simplified to: "Father God, I ask that you walk beside me, thank you for all you provide, Forgive me of my wrongs as I forgive those who wrong me, rid me of temptation and guide me to you, in Jesus Christ's name I pray, Amen." Saying that daily is all you'd have to do to get his attention and start to experience some miracles. Remember being humble is key.

I know what's right and what's wrong, and I try my best to follow the right path and always tell the truth, and I'm a rather humble person. I just hope that if there is a God he sees me doing good works and knows that I'm a good person and never did harm to another unless it was self defense or something of that nature.
After watching the documentary and to see how Kanye kept it going, the love from his mum and how she would rap to his songs, Kanye is a genius and it is beautiful that he is still here with us and we are not talking about him in the past tense.

I wasn't born Christian, and I consider myself agnostic, so I didn't expect to be moved so much by this song and the video in particular. But it interested me enough to watch and rewatch the other versions two. Powerful stuff.
This song helped me get over drug addiction. Every day, listening while I was struggling to take care of my children and maintain as a mother. No matter what they say about you, Kanye, your music helped and inspired me to keep going and remember that Jesus loves me. 2 years+ clean
@Camille McALoon Because a drug was keeping me from really connecting with my children. I kept the house clean, cooked nice meals, took everyone to school, cared for everyone when they were sick.....but I was emotionally separated from them. Now I have the relationship that I have always wanted with all 4 of my children.

Kanye my brotha, this album got me through a lot. My dad got HIV during my senior year in HS and I was scared that i got it because I used his razor. I got tested and i was okay thank god. I had lost my mom when i was 8 years old so all i had was my dad and i was scared not to have any parents at 18. I was so scared man, i listened to this album everyday and it got me through it all. I graduated from Berkeley while listening to late registration and ACTUALLY graduated to the graduation album lol I had a Graduation party that was Graduation themed lol You will always be my favorite artist of all time and I dont care what media says man I know your heart is pure. He has always been outspoken and let’s people know how he feels about things. There is nothing wrong with that in my point of view. Recently went through a loss, started going to church and then I remembered this song, I got emotional, especially at the part "I'm trying to talk to god but I'm afraid cuz we ain't spoke in so long, so long, so long". It's never too late to find healing in the lord and this song is a masterpiece that's street, it's emotional, it's lyrical and most importantly it speaks of our lord and if you listen to it closely, it may just set you in the right path. if youre new your song wouldnt get played. look at new gospel rappers/musicians their music dont get played unless they try to secularize it so it doesnt sound like its praising Jesus. a good example is lauren daigle who said shes not a christian artist but just an artist and her music although its positive doesnt talk about Jesus.
When you deny Christ in public he will deny you as well in private. We are not to be ashamed to be Christians we are supposed to be the beacon of light the city on a hill for others to be drawn to so we can lead them to Christ. He is not ashamed and he can reach people that the church religious folks are not willing to do, because of their own self righteous attitudes. We have a hurting world out there and we need to be busy telling people about what Jesus did for all of us. Your testimony is your strongest witnessing and the Devil knows it, do not be ashamed of who you were before Christ because who you were then is dead and you are alive in Christ a new creation and that maybe the very thing that someone needs to hear, is your testimony. Be ready at all times to share where your hope comes from, your joy, your faith, your peace and most of all the Love of Christ in you for others the two commandments that Jesus told us “ love the lord God with all of your heart, soul and mind, and the other is love your neighbor as you love yourself.” If we seriously do these things fully and completely the world would look very different and we would have a revival and ready for Jesus to return.

Idk what sector of Christianity you are in but try to avoid the super churches. After a while you’ll feel that there is no sustenance to their teachings and you will feel empty. I found that those like the Franciscan Friars and the Dominicans have a full understanding of the faith and will actually help you understand Christianity
