Is nobody gonna talk about how this song still sounds modern, if it came out like 2 or 3 years ago it wouldn't be out of place. Edit: I could've worded this a lot better but hey, it's just a silly RU-vid comment.
i always stopped after pusha t.... but dude i listened to it this time holy shit it made me do the stanky face that shit was so fucking fire after the buildup by kanye
@@jeremiahmcclinton8050 its a Bible verse that describes hell "Well, it is a weepin, a moanin', a gnashing of teeth. It is a weepin, a mournin' and a gnashing of teeth. It is a- when it comes to my sound which is the champion sound. Believe. Believe."
When this song came out it was played on the radio constantly and I got tired of it. I thought it was annoying. But now it's one of my favorite tracks. Weird.
This song is literally perfect. Big Sean starting the song with an ASSQUAKE, King Push talking about crack and murdering the beat as always and Kanyes build up verse to probably the greatest verse 2 Chainz ever made. And not to forget the fire ass hook.
@@username-dt3pd Honestly though. I've been producing for a bit and the maximalist mixes Kanye pulls off are more impressive to me than J Dilla using a bunch of swing in his drums and some acoustic drum samples to make his beats sound more experimental.
Love how Ye's hits the change up on the beat with his signature distorted synths, has the end build up to a high with them and then hits you in the face with the 808's just catapulting 2 Chainz verse into outer space
What I hear: Weeeell, if it's a wigalelliaguguugknackanaka if its a wigaranargoao knacka knacka if it wopencoasterhambeplisansong. What it's actually like: Well. It is a weeping and a moaning, and a gnashing of teeth. It is a weeping, and a moaning, and a gnashing of teeth. It is when it comes to my sound which is the champion sound. Believe! Believe! What the fuck.
This shit would be playing when i was on my way to lake tahoe around 12am and driving through them mountains slapping this would give me big creeps lmao and i was only around 13 at the time driving a Gride or one of us snuck out in our parents whip 😂😭😭😭 on probation too smh i was childish no doubt but this song creepy tho lmao
Kanye’s verse escalated the emotions and passion. He starts saying crazy ass shit. It takes me to the next level Like oh Yeah??? Open the suicide doors 🙏😱
@@letlhogonolodiane3432 thats why I say arguably (not being a smart ass, I just like rap debates lol). These the only songs I think can be in the convo for best feature of the decade: 2 Chainz - Mercy (Star making verse, Instant turnup) Nicky Minaj - Monster (She was kinda new at the time, but ate Kanye AND Jay Z. at the same time) Kendrick - Control (New Niggas still aint got involved) AND Nosetalgia (Might be the best lyrically) Drake - Stay Schemin (We aint heard from Common since lmao. Leave that man alone.) Chance - Ultralight Beam (Til it drift to Pangea???? Amen) Rick Ross - Devil and A New Dress (Ross at his peak) If someone put anything else, they buggin lol
I had this song on my iPod back when this song came out. I BEGGED my dad to download it on my iPod cuz he listened to it too now it brings back so many memories. We were poor at the time and my grandma gave me $100 for my birthday and game stop was selling iPods by the door for $100 exactly so I was excited cuz it was my first ever device.
I’ll never forget seeing 2 Chainz in concert when he came out he did this verse from Mercy the whole arena felt like electricity was flowing live 2 change is straight raw work
