I agree that Drake sucks, but he is NOT the one "POP-ifying" rap. That shit has been in proccess since the fucking 80s. That's why guys like Mos Def, Common or DOOM appeared in the first place, to try to counter that trend. Heck, even Kanye has been a huge influence in the most recent "POP-ification" of rap, he is the one who made the autotune singing and the chipmunk soul popular in hip hop. Lucien and co. saw commercial potential on those trends and fed them to Drake and the likes and forced them on the masses to make cash. Drake sucks, but he is just a byproduct of the REAL POP-ification of hip hop that probably started with Run-DMC in the 80s.
