Isn't that the beauty of it? Or should I say genius: someone must have told him he couldn't and he turned around and told himself he can and then he became.
Kanye West - dun went in sooo hard on this right here, straight up! a u t h e n t I c v i e w s dun took they career off 2 da big leagues like fr fr no cappp
How many people do you know that creates his or her own music and rhymes? There are not that many to begin with so yes he's a genius if you like it or not.
I forgot how talented he is Sometimes, because the drama in his life over shadows his his talent. It’s a shame how people judge his talent because of who he is. Talent is talent. Full stop
The vision of the artist is a extension of who it is, same with the politic views. But i have to admit the people in general is unfair with Kanye. At least he kicked 2018.
I agree except he wants and tries to lead but he does it in a twisted way that only resonate to him. I think he is terribly misjudged music aside ...musically hes judged as a genius and that's accurate.
chloe peterson I agree, after his accident and his mother’s death he wasn’t the same, he changed but he is still that person that we all love no matter what 💯
+Ajoykumar Thongbam I'm a huge Kanye fan, but he didn't discover Bon Iver. Dude was already riding high off is first album. You know that one that had Skinny Love? shit was all over the place when he came out. Lost in the Woods is actually sampled from Bon Iver's first album.
just because he added a guitar and a few horns on to a song with piano doesnt mean hes genre bending lol.. kanye fans are retarded they actually think this shits genius i dont see it
+João Victor one of the ugliest sounding vocoder immitations and it gives u the chills i think u should really listen to some good instrumental music for real chills
Me too came when my ex wife were getting divorced, the roles reversed though, she found someone else then tried to come back I couldn't do musta listened to this song 10000 times gotta say it was healing thank you kanye
This song speaks so hard to me. As a veteran who is already dead just waiting for time to catch up. I have broken beauty, slaved ambition, heartache to myself, lost the win, fumbled the love and exhausted the tireless. I pray for all of us.
This song is an ode to everyone who struggles with mental illness and manages to see their own destructive behavior but feels like they just can't stop it. It's terrifying, it's also inspiring. Regardless of how Kanye has behaved, it's undeniable that his music touches us all in a very unique and special way.
this is a very important comment. one of the reasons I love this album so much is because I think it's a brilliant lesson in teaching others about how Kanye's mental illness shaped his career for good and bad. I agree. very unique and special but also terrifying and inspiring.
@@norwoodlewis5567 well... it's clear he has both. Whether one exasperated the other or how they intersect is something to be examined. I think he is a tortured soul and under the impression that the pain he experiences (like many artists) can be channeled into wonderful art. Personally I believe this to be true. But life doesn't have to be pure darkness, like the Beatles I think you can put light and happy feelings into your art and still find yourself with something almost unconventionally beautiful.
@@norwoodlewis5567 It's very obvious that he was going through a lot based on the death of his mother and the VM a's incident he basically torched his career on Live TV. This happened. It happened on TV. But it's also a fact. It's also common knowledge that kanye has had a very lucky career but also one full of lots of inner turmoil and petty behavior.
I've honestly stopped trying to decide which song is Kanye's best. He has so many great songs, I don't think I can say which one is the best. They are just all so different, it's like comparing apples to oranges.
OMG! What a great song, please tell me more I like Kanye's music but I ony know the most famous ones that I heard at mtv or vh1 in my country (gold digger, touch the sky, flashing lights and like that)
@ Gia Joseph Family Business, All of The Lights, Heard Em' Say, Bound 2 (especially the production), Never Let Me Down, Through the Wire, Champion, Good Morning. Comfortable (producer by him, feat Lil Wayne and Babyface). He has so many great songs.
***** Im discovering that, thank you, I like all the lights but bound 2 (it is the one with him and Kim riding a motorcycle?) don't like, it is uncomfortable to hearing, like 3 different songs playing at the same time.
Kanye west is a music maestro. Didn't appreciate him much back then. But lately I've been listening to his songs and it touched my heart. KW was something else. Peak of music.
Every time I hear this song, I feel sad for people making fun of his personal life, rather than appreciating his talent...the emotion that this song carries ❤..huge respect to Kanye for making this touching song..this one deserves a billion views..
Who is making fun of Kanye so funny The one who mocks most of them is a failure in his life if you joke about it He has no money, no work, and lives in a small apartment Tight lives in it like a dog no one buys it As for Kanye, the richest black man, a successful man All of those you are talking about wish what he achieved
This is a class act. Song, music, video and all. A class act. When he climbs on that piano there is something in the expression of his face that cuts deep to the bone.
The instrumental of this track is just emotionally terrifying; not only does it resemble a form of despair but with a tad bit anger down in it's core and I can't listen to it too often, because I get flashbacks. Great, great work, musically speaking.
@@ragebaby8396 at the end of the day music is just sound but no matter how simple they can always invoke a response in people. So if this specific piece of music touches them, let it be.
I didn't fully appreciate the hype behind his music until I heard the orchestral version of a bunch of his songs. It was then that I realized how complex and dramatic, emotional the musicality of his work is
He is a real one. Probably the only celebrity that can admit to his wrongs and humble his self. When you are that humble it doesn't matter what they take from you because you know there is a higher meaning to this life. When you have that spiritual Awakening nothing matters anymore you are just here to learn.
by hearing this song so many times, learning the lyrics, and making it my own after a while....thank you for that Kanye....its allows you/us to create the song that fits us in that moment.....genius!
Bruh wtf 😂shit fuck em live life with mistakes or not we not perfect we r made to fuck up cant u c we like fucking but foes still fuck that up too lol😂
+luckenn baptiste , Uh Huhhhh... hes a genius alright, he put 2 notes together that aren't in the same key. Brilliant. Im amazed that we have entire generation of kids who have never played an instrument, or know anything about music, Only worshipping the smoke and mirrors of Hip Hop. What a shame.
The entirety of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was masterpiece after masterpiece. Every track was unique and special in its own way. Easily one of the best albums ever.
@@brianabee88 Not really. As per official numbers currently Jay Z is 1,4 while Kanye is 1,8 and additionaly by many reports Kanye's net worth grew to 6,6 with his stake in Addidas, Gap etc...
Kanye did good with his dough. Some rappers bought cars, jewelries, got women pregnant like heck and paying children support like heck and they're broke.
As you said just your opinion, Wu tang, El P, Aesop rock, gangstarr, 2pac and 100more artists better that this commercial product....(And its just my opinion, but I'm not the only one) ;)
JO 7Z Is Kanye the commercial one? All his actions make him controversial. I would say the mainstream view now is to hate on Kanye. You may think he is commercial because of how profound his work is, but that may just be because he is a larger personality than all of the people you listed.
Kanye stands from a long table with black people all dressed in white, except this one woman. As he starts playing the piano, ballerinas all dressed in black run in two lines to dance to his tune. They're all the same, and as he raps he faces the dancers and not the table (audience). The people at the table pay him no mind at all except for when they raise their glasses for the toast. But this woman, the colourful one who really doesn't fit in, has her whole body turned to him, watching him. He has all her attention. As soon as he stops playing the tune, the dancing women leave as quickly as they arrived. He goes on to take his seat and she's still looking at him, almost admiring him. Not bothered by anything he says (him telling her to run away). I think it's the reason why he doesn't face her throughout the whole 'show'.. She stands out in so many ways.. lol it's midnight here.
"They were born, they suffered, they died"(Anatole France) other say that only sure thing in ouer life is moment when death comes to us. So pain can be given by nature, other people or we can feel fear of existence, what can harm a lot. Tradition gives no more recipe how to live, society is cruel, we are left alone with ouer choices. Its not somehow addiction to pain, its fear of unknown, i think. Death can be as a joke in a movie but its real and somehow maybe its not an end but the door to new beginning...
say what you want about kanye, but this song is definitely a classic. It's the exact portrayal of a man who is able to admit his infidelity and lack of loyalty toward those that care about him (presumably an ex who once cared about him before becoming a self-centered dick). it's truly an anthem for guys willing to admit how shitty they've treated good girls in their pasts who deserved alot better. let's have a toast.
Or guys that have been called.a.scumbag when they actually aren't because someone wanted to make them feel like shit and own them when they were in love.
When he get's on the piano you can feel all the emotions through his actions.. With that being said, this song helps me through so many different heart breaks and issues that no person could ever relieve me of. It's a strong and passionate song that has so much truth behind the lyrics. I wish I could personally thank Kanye for this work of art.
Kanye west: the perfect combintation between genius and idiocy. Never have i come across an artist with so much self awareness yet such a high amount if ignorance. Its great really
I'd say he's just speaking his mind and being honest, when other celebrities are afraid to do so and never do that. I mean it's not like everything he says is nonsense, he often has good points.
I never understood the music video until I started watching it everyday after a bad breakup, and seeing how it's in the middle of a pandemic, it really has me sitting here with my thoughts. For me, this is a story about a guy who is well liked and received: Popular, accredited, accomplished. Yet, he gets up from all of this, him leaving the table, to point out to everyone in the room, something that is wrong. He starts to play a piano, and suddenly these women start to run out and start dancing. Now, I see it as he is playing a tune that he expects women he selects to be his partner to dance to, and he expects them to dance well. The tune being the relationship. And there are lots of them, and they all have beautiful and different styles to them that bring something different to the tune he is making them perform to. And then he stops playing the tune, and tries to tell them to run, because he is recognizing his own shit, and that is when he climbs on top of the piano. But they keep dancing. And then the song goes on, and at the end, the coded verse only he knows, meaning its his own failure to communicate to either the women who have been in his life, or the people he is trying to warn, like at the table, of his own issues. And all the while, as the up close shots are happening in this time, he is haunted at the memories of the women who tried so hard to be with him and get him to communicate and be healthy. And at the end, when the tune is finished, and they leave, there is applause; by the very people he tried to show his own problems. Now I don't know what that is about, but maybe it's about a group of people who enable him to continue in his ways because it doesn't affect them nor bother them so long as they are at his table. Just my thoughts, feel free to express your own if you feel the need.
Kanye West is the best thing that happened to the art and music world this century. He is the only thing we have to show for, all this technology and yet the art and music world keep going backwards and get worse and worse, he is the only forward step we have to show for. Thank you for giving it a try Kanye
Never was much of a romantic I could never take the intimacy And I know it did damage 'Cause the look in your eyes is killin' me I guessin' you're at an advantage 'Cause you could blame me for everything And I don't know where I'ma manage If one day you just up and leave
Raymond Felton Kanye isn't just one type of artists, he does everything. People just pigeon-hole him into one category and then get upset when he doesn't fall into the scope of what people expect of him. If you're expecting the same genre from him every album, then you've misunderstood him. And yes, although I don't appreciate some of the things he's done/said publicly, he's a musical genius.
No one is really vocal about it on any of his videos. It's like a quarter of Eminem fans. Getting upset on how he changed. And half of the "Kanye" Fans. Saying how they hate him because he changed.
@@IMPCIVLIVSCAESARDIVVS just because someone says something you don't agree with doesn't make them mentally ill. kanye has said wild shit all through his career but he upset a certain group recently
@@rojastegulu crazy how kanye said crazy stuff about literally every race and religion but as soon as he said something about jewish people he lost his bank accounts, contracts, etc. why is that?
