"Never was much of a 'Romantic' i could never take the intimacy, And i know it did damage, Because the look in ya eyes is killing me" That line made me feel guilty 😭😭💯
Ive been waiting so long for this! But kendrick actually has lots of different styles that they havent heard yet but could love! One of the most diverse artists with kanye!
I think you guys should check out "Love Lockdown" for the older Kanye stuff. One of my favorite songs from him. It's relaxed but still hard hitting. There's also "No Church In The Wild" which is also very good
This is one of my favorite songs ever and i wasn't expecting a positive reaction but Im so happy to be surprised. I love the autotuned humming at the end but have you have to fully appreciate it with headphones on.
Should just listen to the whole album. One of the finest productions on any album ever. The way each song fits perfectly in its own story and how it flows from heavier, louder, abrasive tracks (hell of a life, monster) to the glorious, triumphant tracks (all of the lights, dark fantasy) to the sad, introspective tracks (runaway, lost in the world), it’s just incredible
That last part was powerful ,it have touched me deeply 😔 when those girls running away from him at the end I was like ohh my God this is so amazing 👏 😢❤
This song is my #1 of Kanye's personally because around this time in my life I had a lot of stuff happening in my life and I was depressed and lost. This song helped me personally.
Well now that you've heard Pusha T, listen to some songs from his new album Daytona. First of the five Kanye-produced albums we are getting this summer.
i still remember hearing that 'guitar solo' the first time and being confused as to what was going on but not being able to stop listening to it. its insanely rare to see someone pull off a trick like that AND make it sound so good
runaway is without a doubt one of my top 5 favorite songs of all time. the epitome of a masterpiece, same with the rest of that album. y’all should listen to lost in the world & devil in a new dress by him also :)
Ive been waiting for this one. 2 more atmospheric Kanye songs I'd love to see Simons opinions on are Hold My Liquor and Streetlights. Cheers for the content boys
To explain the outro, Throughout the song Kanye talks about being misunderstood. The outro is how the puplic perceives him. Hes repeating the same melody of the verses and chorus. But his words are a blur for the public. And therefore they cant see thru the distortion.
Love this song, video and your reaction :D Please do more Kanye! He is always on the edge and sometimes over, but creates art that last. Would love to see a long Kanye reaction vid where you see multiple vids. Flashing Lights, Jesus Walks, Hold my Liqour, Power, Fade, No more parties, 30 hours, Saint Pablo, and a lot more from the older albums, Heard em say, gold digger, Hey Mama. There is just so much :p Listen to Last call if you want a story about how ye started out rapping.
One think I like about you guys is that you separate the artist from the music like I do. I've had people get on my case for listening to Kanye West because of his actions/personality but say what you will about all that, this song is a piece of art. It's beautiful. The way he uses his voice and distorts it like a guitar, makes it hypnotic, is mesmerizing. And the song is raw and real as shown by the copious amounts of swear words yet at the same time it manages to be so beautiful. It's not just a tragic love story but it's Kanye looking at himself and recognizing his mistakes over a melody that is truly heartbreaking in its simplicity. A truly outstanding artwork and I appreciate your guys' open-mindedness. Kanye is a musical genius. No denying that. You should check out Devil in a New Dress! Another beautiful track off this album, a personal favorite.
Every person that has ever listened to this song needs to go to listen to Terrance Mallorys breakdown of Runaway from the which is better vol.6 video it is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen on RU-vid
One big thing about Kanye is he was the first rapper to come push into hip hop with more melodic music and singing within the song rather than just beats and rhymes. Kanye was the turning point in rap that allowed practically every rapper ahead of him to make music similar to this. It really started with his first album but when he had the beef with 50 cent to see who would sell more records, the kid in a pink polo or a gangster from new york and he outsold him hip hop changed forever thanks to kanye.
I love this channel. I've watched most of your videos. You guys are great and honest. I love it. Maybe some more suggestions? Kendrick Lamar - M.A.A.D. City, heart part 1, and Cartoons and Cereal Kanye West - hold my liqour, I wonder, famous Jaden Smith - B, L, U, E
The ending blurred sound is kanye trying to tell us something, the thing he was telling us in the song, but from everyone elses perspective, who can't understand him.
I know Kanye gets a lot of shit for stuff he does outside of music, a lot deservedly so, but you can't see something like this and deny the guy's genius. His first 3 albums are all classics and you could honestly make the argument for his first 5 being classics. Glad you guys liked it.
Kanye is the MASTER of autotune! He turned it from something that people used to cheat their way into singing into an instrument that can be used effectively and creatively!
Haters just want him to repeat The Graduation over and over again til they got bored of him. They didn't want to see the Genius evolve, but they can't do shit
Just a VERY short explaination. The song is about kanye and the public eye, about how he can have a good life but still love the controversy, he isnt good with it but he still needs it. He explains that he isnt good at conveying hisself. The reason why the second part has a guitar effect because that represents what everyone hears from kanye, a bunch of noise that you cant understand. While the first part is clear because that represents what Ye fans hear. Theres so much more to it but that would be too long. This song isnt the best in MBDTF in my opinion but its what perfectly embodies it. This is a song that embodies what is considured to be one of the two best albums of the decade. Sticking to the theme of My beautiful dark twisted fantasy, which is having what you dream or need but ask the question, can you handle the dark part of it?
Playboi Carti - Magnolia, In the 'Watch' video Simon says he likes the beat of the song which is produced by the same guy who produced Magnolia. You may not like the lyrics/tone but I think you'd like the beat.
