Honoring the pōhaku, ancestors, and history. On September 25, 2021, the first ever Kapaemahu Ceremony was held at the site of Nā Pōhaku Ola O Kapaemahu A Me Kapuni in Waikiki, Honolulu. The ceremony made visible the Hawaii LGBT Legacy's Foundation's intention to center the Indigenous experience in this year's Honolulu Pride celebrations, and in our Pride365 programs throughout the year.
